As requests are received, the Board of Deacons will offer prayers. Blue We Care Cards are for messages of care to persons of the congregation, these cards will be mailed the following week. Cards are available in the pew racks. Please place the cards in the offering plate. Hospitalized: Jim Allen For Your Information: FPC s Nursery, located on the second floor, is available for infants and children ages 5 and younger. FPC encourages children ages 6 and older to attend worship. Worship bags for children of all ages are located in the lobby. When you are finished with the bag, please put it in the basket so that it can be replenished and straightened by a wonderful volunteer! Extra hymnals, including large print, and Bibles are available in the back of the sanctuary. Amplified hearing aid devices are also available. An usher will be happy to help if you need assistance.

6 Intentional Christmas: Church Family Mission Night Wednesday, Dec. 19 th 5:30pm Join us at 5:30 p.m. for dinner and bring several items (from the wish lists below) to benefit the Ashby House or Oakdale Elementary School. After we eat, we ll box up our donations and deliver them, along with some wonderful Christmas Carols, to the Ashby House and our neighbors at The President's Place apartments. Whatever you do, don t miss this fun evening with your FPC Family! OAKDALE: -Children's sweatpants (sizes xs + s) -children's underwear (sizes 5 + 6) Ashby House: -Paper Towels -Toilet Paper -Trash Bags -Children s socks -Laundry Soap -Target gift cards for teachers Christmas Joy Offering Whether providing financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families or providing opportunities for deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools, your generous gifts to the Christmas Joy Offering will bring Good News of Great Joy to the poor in circumstance or spirit. Christmas Joy Offering envelopes can be found in the pews. You may also make your check payable to FPC, and list "CJO" in the memo field. Alternative Gift Giving Heifer International is a global nonprofit humanitarian assistance organization working to help end hunger and poverty and at the same time protect the environment and care for the Earth. Heifer provides living gifts of area appropriate livestock and training in environmentally sound agricultural practices to families in need to help lift themselves out of poverty to become self-reliant. There will be a table in the parlor during Advent that will sell books and gift cards for Heifer, or you may also make a monetary contribution to Heifer through the church.
