3 Deacon of the Week Cissy Lewis has been a member of Trinity since 2009 and is a native of the state of Georgia. She and her husband, Richard, have two children, Trey and Benjamin. She serves as Sunday school teacher on the baby hall, on the VBS lead team, co-chair of Operation Christmas Child here at Trinity, and an ETC volunteer. She works with the Adult 4 Tepper/Hoffman class. She also works with deacons Jeff Hall and Karl Konrad. Amanda Watson Bailey: This former Miss North Carolina is now teaching students to pursue their passion in music. Amanda will share her testimony in word and song. Wake Christian Academy Chorale: An audition-only high school choral group. The chorale has won numerous state championships in the NC Christian School Association Fine Arts Competition. 5 Rev. Hal Melton, FINAL MISSION TO SANTA ELENA, BELIZE! So many TBC members have partnered with God and the congregation of Santa Elena Baptist Church to construct the Santa Elena Baptist Primary School. The school is wide-open with over 130 students and just had its first Graduation in June (13 students!). Pastor Manny has asked for assistance in building the walls of the two classrooms on the second floor of the preschool building. He already has funds for building materials. He needs willing hearts and hands. These two rooms will be tiled and air conditioned for use as school principal s office and computer lab. It will take two weeks to accomplish this mission. Some will be able to stay for two weeks others will choose only one. The dates are January We will stay at the Aguada Hotel within walking distance of the school. We will have free days built in on Caye Caulker as usual. Cost for one week (air fare, ground transportation, lodging, most meals, ice/water, water taxi, insurance and t-shirt) will be around $1,475. Cost for two weeks will be around $2,200 (yet to be calculated). Sign Up Sheets will be on the Sign-Up Board in the Narthex next Sunday. SPACE IS LIMITED so do not wait!! After this mission, our overseas emphasis will most likely turn to Disaster Relief in Puerto Rico. Annual TBC MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT RETREAT P P P February 22-24, 2019 Beach Cove Resort North Myrtle Beach This year s retreat will be special in many ways. Both Roberta and I are so excited that three of our couples will be co-leading having been trained as national leadership couples by Better Marriages this past year: Van & Julie Daughtry, Regan & Allison Williams, and Ellis & Sara Payne. Cost: $265 per couple. $100 of total is due by October 28 as a deposit. We have 20 oceanfront condos reserved as well as a great meeting space. So, including leadership, we only have 16 condos left! 6 Rev. Steve Byers, Special thanks to Kurtis Konrad for accompanying worship at the organ this past Sunday, and to Testament for leading us in worship this past Sunday morning. Testament has worked in various ways throughout our music ministry. Whether accompanying soloists, the Student Choir, or ensembles, they always serve with willing hearts for the glory of God. Thank you for your ministry and leadership at Trinity! We have immediate openings in Music Time Choir (Preschool) and Young Musicians Choir. It is such a rewarding part of our choir ministry to see our children grow musically and spiritually in the Lord, and you can be a part of the fun on Wednesday nights. We need leaders to assist the directors from 6 to 6:45 pm each week. Maybe God is calling you to find your ministry area of service and help generations to come know about Jesus as Lord and Savior. Gospel Jubilee Celebration Sunday, August 26 The Trinity Laymen and various musical groups at TBC will be in concert with Miss Emily Roberts, niece of Dr. Roberts, who formerly performed on The Voice and is now a country music artist in Nashville. Beginning at 6 pm, we will hear music from these groups as well as the Hallelujah Choir that will promise to be a musically uplifting night of praise. The Hallelujah Choir has already begun rehearsing and they ll be ready for this special night of music. Make your plans to be here and celebrate! Fred has been a member of Trinity for over 30 years, Lisa joined in 2002 and Gabrielle in The Paulas live in the Brookhaven Neighborhood in North Raleigh. They have two adult Children, Patricia and husband Reggie who live in Atlanta with their 3 children and John who lives in Charlotte. Fred is a Systems Consultant with DellEMC and Lisa sells Real Estate with Fonville Morisey. Gabrielle is a rising sophomore at Sanderson High School where she is in the Academy of Finance, Plays Oboe in the concert band and also plays on the Women s Basketball team. As a family, the Paulas enjoy going to the beach, boating, watching sports and hanging out with their dogs Abby and Gauge. The Trinity Student Ministry program has been such a blessing to our family. Gabrielle has fostered lifelong friendships with many students, teachers and leaders. Gabrielle has been loved and mentored by so many at Trinity and truly loves every moment that she spends in church.
