2 St. Hilary of Poitiers Parish May 27, 2018 The Most Holy Trinity Pastor s Corner Oh Sacred Three my fortress be encircling me, came be around my heart and my home This ancient Irish prayer captures what the Church calls the most fundamental and essential teaching on the hierarchy of the truths of faith. It is the mystery of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ revealed this great mystery. God, He shows us is a Community, the most perfect Community. There is no ego, jealousy, exclusivity or conflict here, only perfect love. We all long for such a community in families, neighborhoods and nations. Unfortunately we fall short, in our human attempts to build harmony. What is so amazing is that the Holy Trinity, wants us to be part of their circle of love. Despite our frailties and sinfulness, God invites us to join Him in this community of love. We show our acceptance to this invitation by checking our ego s, prejudices and jealousies at the door. Of all the activities we do as a parish, none is greater, than our efforts to bring the Trinity is perfect love, to all our human communities. A difficult call but that is why we come to the Eucharist, as St. Cyril, reminds us to become by grace what God is by nature. May our heavenly Father, continue to bring order to nature, may Jesus bring order to human nature, and may the Holy Spirit lead us to the truths of God. By their grace we can bring greater harmony to all our communities. 4 Congratulations to the 6 men who were ordained priests for the Philadelphia Archdiocese this past Saturday. This years pose in Immaculate Conception Chapel at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. The now-transitional deacons to be ordained May 19 are: (front row from left) Quy Pham, Eric Banecker and Patrick Muka; and (back row from left) Manuel Flores, Kyle Adamczyk and Brandon Artman. (Photo by Sarah Webb) Archbishop Charles Chaput celebrated Mass and ordained as transitional deacons seven men for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and one for the Capuchin Franciscan order on Saturday, May 10 in St. Martin s Chapel at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. The transitional deacons, who expect to be ordained priests next year, and their parish assignment for the year include: Rev. Mr. Daniel Arechabala, St. Bede Parish, Holland; Rev. Mr. JaRev. Mr. Joseph Zaleski, St. John the Evangelist Parish, Morrisville. Saint Hilary of Poitiers 2018 Race for Education was WONDERFUL and St. HILARY SCHOOL has WON!!!! God blessed us with a BEAUTIFUL day, an EXTRAORDINARY TEAM OF PARENTS, and the Enthusiasm and EXCITEMENT of the students filled the St. Hilary Parish grounds with SHS SPIR- IT!! A SPECIAL Thank you shout out to the Committee of Parents, and Faculty who helped to develop and implement St. Hilary School Race for Education. The activities were amazing! We are grateful to the families, parishioners, faculty, and businesses for investing in the education and ministry of Saint Hilary of Poitiers Catholic School! This instruction should help to maintain and recognize the human body as a living temple of Gods presence. Proper respect for the deceased and their remains must always be upheld. Copies on the guidelines are available at the rectory All Families interested in having your child baptized need to call the rectory to make arrangements. All families must attend a Pre-Jordan class prior to the Baptism. (if you have already attended a pre-jordan class for another child, you do not need to attend.
