1 Kirk in the Hills A Christ-centered Community Called to Deepen Faith, Serve Others and Foster Fellowship S, J 26, 2014 T S E"" Hands down, the single most impressive leader in the history of the world is Jesus of Nazareth No leader ever built a higher-impact team in a shorter period of time with less talent to work with. No leader ever instilled deeper values or inspired people more than Jesus Christ in many cases, enough for them to die for the cause. Certainly no leader has ever changed the course of human history the way Jesus did and is still doing, more than two thousand years later. Bill Hybels Norman M. Pritchard, Pastor William L. Adams III, Associate Pastor Troy Hauser Brydon, Associate Pastor Carol A. Tate, Associate Pastor James F. Anderson, Pastor Emeritus Glenn A. Miller, Director of Music & Organist Dennis N. Curry, Associate Director of Music & Carillonneur

Please introduce yourself to a pastor after worship. P ) concerned about children becoming restless in the service are invited to worship in Cedarholm Chapel where there are crib- and baby chair- stands, and the service is relayed on a TV monitor. A-& T& ) S /% The call of the first disciples of Jesus makes a suitable scripture to keep in mind as we ordain and install the new officers the congregation elected at the annual meeting two weeks ago. The call begins with God s free grace, continues in Jesus presence and is fulfilled in lives of faithful ministry inspiration for every call to discipleship, whether taken up by church officers or church members. T &$$&*0 " invites us to prepare our hearts for worship and our lives for faithful living: Almighty God, by grace alone you call us and accept us in your service. Strengthen us by your Spirit and make us worthy of your call; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. T $&* ) & )% $ are presented to the glory of God in loving memory of Bill and Sally Singleton by their son, Dan Singleton and family. H' N& ) Come Sing, O Church in Joy is a prize-winning hymn! Let us show how he has changed us, and remade us as his own, Let us share our life together as we shall around his throne. We are called to be Godʹs servants, working in his world today; Taking His own task upon us, all his sacred words obey. Let us rise, then, to his summons, dedicate to him our all, That we may be faithful servants, quick to answer now his call. We are called to be Godʹs prophets, speaking for the truth and right, Standing firm for godly justice, bringing evil things to light. Let us seek the courage needed, our high calling to fulfill, That the world may know the blessing of the doing of Godʹs will. C0 B %& Please take your seats as the pastor gives the congregation a charge to live the life of faith and then speaks words of Godʹs blessing on all gathered. Please be respectful of those who wish to remain in a worshipful frame of mind.
