4 Join us at the Murray Bridge Library with local Christian author Glenda as we celebrate the launch of her book My Life in Poetry Tuesday Dec 6th 2pm For bookings call the library on or speak to the staff Glenda has suffered from a mental illness for most of her life as well as having to care for her mother who has BiPolar episodes. But no matter how bad things became, the single and most important thing ever for her is how she never lost faith in God, which she credits to her trust in her saviour, Jesus Christ. ~ Prayer Corner ~ For use by friendship groups, study groups, other groups, & individuals. Always be joyful and never stop praying. Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do -1 Thess. 5:16-1. Pray for all the Kindy children and their families including Beau, Ben, Blake, Carlien, Chace and Charlie. Give thanks to God for the wonderful gift of Jesus and all that He blesses us with. Ask Him to help us share our blessings with others, giving us opportunities to demonstrate His love. Christmas Trees Only need This year we are able to have Christmas Trees delivered to Murray Bridge if we can get an order of 5! 1 more orders They are still at last year s price of $35 and still provided by Holy Cross Birdwood. Carla from Holy Cross office will be co-ordinating the orders, please contact Carla at the Holy Cross office ( ) to place an order, payment is required with order, by Wednesday 23rd November. Delivery is planned for Saturday 10th December. They were formed in 2013 by boarders and students of ALC and played at both Services, and you missed the message given by Unity Pastor, Fin Klein and Wayne Gehling on what Unity is doing and the CASLAU programme involving the Aboriginal students from Areyonga. However, you can hear and see it all on a DVD. Ask Yvonne at the Office for one. 6 Australian Lutheran College end of year events The University of Divinity will hold its Adelaide Graduation Ceremony for ALC students on Friday, 2 Dec at Immanuel College, 32 Morphett Road, Novar Gardens, commencing at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend this celebration. Team HELP! Is coming to Murray Bridge. Team Help will be in Murray Bridge in January They have a vision to inspire the youth of Australia through evangelism. They are looking for billets for their team members (12 in total). If you have a spare bed over 24th to 26th January please let Pastor Tim know. You can read more about the team at: Hope! Lutheran Disability Services Board Members Wanted The board of Lutheran Disability Services urgently needs three Lutheran lay members. We need people who have a heart for this work but who also understand governance and have the capacity to contribute to the board in the challenging environment of the NDIS. Background in accounting, law or marketing would be helpful but not essential. If you would potentially be interested in being nominated for the LDS board or know of suitable members who might be approached can you advise the District Office as soon as possible. AGM Reports Are you the leader of a group? Its time you started to think about what you will put in your AGM report. They will be due around February next year
