PRAYER OF THE DAY Almighty God, we cannot trust in our own goodness, so deal with us, not according to the severity of your judgment, but according to your mercy. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. This Sunday s Readings Zephaniah 1:7, 12-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11; Matthew 25:14-30

2 Please keep the following people in your prayers: For Lorna Collinge as she has undergone major eye surgery in last week. We pray that her sight will be restored. For the Child, Youth and Family Ministry Co-ordinator position in our Parish to be filled. We pray for the right person to come along and fill this position. For Beau Carrigg, Charlotte Bothe and Samuel Vanderlinde who are being confirmed at Chapel on 26 November. Also, for Ben Bradbury who will be confirmed at a future date. For all who are ill and for their families. BARNABAS FUND Sunday 19 Nov: Pray for those who have suffered through flooding in South Asia and West Africa and hurricanes in the Caribbean. We also pray for rain to come at the right time for those in East Africa and southern Africa Monday 20 Nov: Pray for South Sudanese Christians fleeing from drought, famine and conflict in their homeland, some of whom have gone to strictly Muslim Sudan. Some Christians are left with a choice of denying Christ or starving to death. Tuesday 21 Nov: Pray for those fleeing the killing in South Sudan and travelling to Uganda. They way to Uganda is arduous and people face being ambushed. Wednesday 22 Nov: Pray for the safety of the people of the Christianmajority village of Moskota in Cameroon many of whom have fled because of an attack by Boko Haram fighters in August. Thursday 23 Nov: Pray for Zimbabwean pastor Evan Mawarire who was arrest in September because of a social media campaign he has been part of criticising the government s handling of the economy and its failure to pay workers. Friday 24 Nov: Praise God for the forgiving attitude of Christians in Guinea, West Africa who are allowing all to use a newly-dug bore well in a church compound. Christians in this village were boycotted for a year by villagers, who would not speak or trade with them or allow them to use the village water source. Saturday 25 Nov: Pray for the Christian majority country of Central African Republic (CAR) where hideous religious violence now reigns.
