She would love you all to join with her at this service which will be followed with a BBQ lunch in the rectory grounds. 2 Heaven's Grocery Store I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read `Heaven Grocery Store'. As I got a little closer, the door came wide open, And when I came to myself, I was standing inside. I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My child, shop with care." Everything a Christian needed was in the Grocery Store. And if you couldn't carry them, you could come back for more. First I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Further down was UNDERSTAND- ING, you need that wherever you go. I got a box of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, for He was all over the place. I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me win the race And though my basket was getting full, I remembered to get some GRACE. I didn't forget SALVATION, for salvation, that was free. So, I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. Then I started up the counter to pay the grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do my Master's will. As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run into SIN. PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf. SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself. Then I said to the Angel, "Now how much do I owe?" He just smiled and said, "Just take them every where you go!" Again I smiled at him and said, "How much do I really owe?" The Angel smiled again and said, "My child, Jesus paid your bill a long, long time ago." Hey kids! Revelation 5.12 Collect Everlasting God, whose will is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, our Lord and King: grant that the people of earth, now divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his gentle and loving rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Diocesan Prayer God in whom we live and move and have our being, we thank you for Jesus Christ who is the good news. By the power of your Holy Spirit, enable us to be people who transform lives, make disciples and grow communities, that your glory may be revealed in all creation. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice. FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS On Friday at 12 md, St Marks joined with other churches around Australia to ring the bell 17 times and will continue to do so every Friday once for each child remaining in detention on Nauru until we have no need to ring it again.
