2 WELCOME Communion Invitation - Dear Friends in Christ, if you are a visitor who is a baptised believer and not a member of the Lutheran Church but believe that you will be receiving the body and blood of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, then an open invitation is extended to you. Non-communing adults & children are encouraged to come for a blessing and are asked to keep their hands by their sides. Please join us for a cuppa and a biscuit between services. CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL We have had some groups & individuals already offer to put in a tree but we would appreciate other people s participation for trees, nativity scenes or other displays. The theme for this year is Joy to the World and your tree could incorporate anything to do with music, Christmas Carols etc. Please contact Coralie Mattner ph if you would like to be involved. not a fan Completely Committed Follower Starts TODAY. Buy DVD through Denise Lohmeyer or go direct to Koorong. We will have a copy of the DVD in the office for nightly loan. The video clips can be transferred to your USB. We will be screening the movie again after the Sausage Sizzle on the 21st June followed by afternoon tea. Come and join us. KEEP THIS DATE FREE On Sunday July 26th we will be celebrating our Baptism, inviting families who have had children baptised in the last few years. It will include a shared lunch. The popular children s song writer and entertainer Chris Jaensch will be part of the celebration. ACCOMODATION REQUIRED For 3 Support Workers and 2 Indigenous Pastors, from Finke River Mission, for General Pastor s Conference in July. The Conference is at Hahndorf from Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July. Four nights bed and breakfast is what we are looking for. For Bookings Jan Brodde Raising funds to support ministry in local schools URGENT re Group Air Travel to LWA Convention, Rochedale Qld. departing Saturday 26 September, returning Wednesday 30 September 2015 We have successfully negotiated an extension of time for booking and paying a deposit for group air travel to the LWA Convention until 30th June After that time, the very good price of $990 cannot be guaranteed. 3 ~ Prayer Corner ~ For use by friendship groups, study groups, other groups, & individuals. Always be joyful and never stop praying. Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do -1 Thess. 5:16-1. Pray that congregational members will show love and support to the children at Concordia Kindy by donating finances to buy Bibles for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to encourage congregational members to offer support to the Christmas Tree Festival which is an outreach ministry to the Murray Bridge Community. Ask God to bless the work of the Christian Pastoral Support Workers in our public schools and for financial help to continue to help support them in their ministry. We ask for God s blessings for Dulcie Kube (RAH), Trevor Paech (home), Laurel Geisler (M/B Hosp), Trudy Weber (M/B Hosp), Dawne Schmerl, Joyleen Stiller, Jeanette Zanker, Lil Fiegert, John Lohmeyer, Mike Kluge, Roy & Gwen Traeger, & also for their carers. BIBLES FOR KINDY As a congregation we are donating Bibles to the children as we seek to show love and support to them. This ministry is off budget and we are raising funds so we can donate the Bibles. If you would like to support a child & donate one or more Bibles (Cost $12) please place money in an envelope and put in the offering bag OR drop into the Church Office. TEEN CHALLENGE This organisation will no longer be receiving any financial assistance from the Federal Government. For this ministry to continue, for those in need, we are looking at working in partnership with other congregations in Murray Bridge. Each is being asked to donate food, contribute financially and help out with volunteers who can assist in this ministry. During the month of June we will be having retiring offerings to support this ministry. There is a list in the JDHall of suitable non-perishable food items which you can donate. Craig Zilm will share his experience of the Sandy Creek bushfires and Andrew Neumann will share how he came to study at Australian Lutheran College. Come along to the Pilgrim Lutheran Church at 21 Edward Street, Magill on Saturday the 27 th June 2015 at 9am. The cost is $20 and includes lunch and afternoon tea.
