The rotation ends Sunday, October 16, 2011, with the children singing in church. We encourage all children to participate. The next rotation is Josiah, the Boy King. This is the story of an eight year old boy who became king. This was a great responsibility for a boy so young. Josiah could have been selfish and abused his power. However this was not the case. Josiah had a good heart and he was obedient to God. The lesson to be learned in this rotation is Josiah did what was right. He trusted God. This was something he did not learn from his father nor his grandfather. Throughout Josiah's reign he launched an aggressive reformation in Judah. Josiah was determined to restore God's faith in his people. It is a lesson in faith and perseverance. If interested in leading a work shop feel free to contact me. I have materials and will assist in any way. Dates to remember Sunday, October 16, 2011, children will be singing in church and Sunday, October 30, Sunday, October 30, 2011, the second graders will be presented the "Good News Bible". A very important day for the second graders. Again thanks to those who continue to support our children with Shepherding a class and or leading a workshop. We will be discussing the KFC Christmas Program mostly, but will be also discussing the KFC rotations and such. KFC teachers are welcome to attend this meeting. First outing was canceled due to the weather. Sheet at the back of church. Shower Trailer / Oct / needing volunteers Our SHOWER TRAILER has been blessing for many working to help repair our earth. The SHOWER TRAILER has completed its work in Tennessee and will be re-deployed to Alabama in September. We have volunteered to disconnect and remove the trailer at Faith LC, Lebanon, and take it to Faith LC, Clay where there was tornado damage. This will be a 5-day project with traveling and installing the Trailer. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Ron Kruse or Pastor. We will also need 2 vehicles (one with a hitch) and donations: mostly decking and monetary gifts ($1,500 estimated). Gifts should be designated: Shower Trailer. Thank you for your continued support.

W/ELCA General Business Meeting: Oct 6 at 7:00p ~ Faith Circle serves Personal Care Kits (Health Kits) The following items are needed for Kits for LWR: Bath Towels (gently used), Bath Size Soap, Adult Toothbrushes, Nail clippers and Sturdy combs. Please sign up on the sheet on the table in the Narthex. Please have items at the church by Sept 18th. Haiti Mission: There is a special need for crochet hooks for the women of the Haiti mission to support themselves by making purses and tote bags. We are also collecting zippers, beads, tab pulls and buttons. Please place all items in the basket on the table in the Narthex. Call Marge Schmidt if you have questions. Reformation Sunday / Presentation of Bibles to 2 nd Grade Students / October 30, 2011 During Sunday worship service. A gift from the W/ELCA. There s an App for that / Daily Grace: Visit the App Store to download this free App for iphone users. It features daily reading, reflections, prayers & a liturgical calendar. for info. The Fall Baraboo Conference W/ELCA meeting will be on Sat, Oct 22 nd from 9:00a and conclude with a lunch at noon, at Rio Redeemer Lutheran church. There will be a speaker from Wyocena Helping Hands and also from the Guatemalan Mission. Part of the offering will be used for scholarships to support Guatemalan children for a year in school. Please bring items for the Rio Food Pantry. The cost is $7. If you would like a ride please call Marge Schmidt at God s Goodness Auction / October 2 nd God s Goodness Auction & Potluck on Sunday, October 2 nd at 11:30p. This is the week for bringing all the preparation together for the Thursday evening and Saturday grand openings at the new Habitat for Humanity of Sauk Columbia Area ReStore. If you have any chance to help this week would be VERY appreciated. Any day from 9:00a 6:00p. Show up or call We need all hands on board for the many details yet to be done.
