Who We Are Faith Fellowship of Lexington is a Multi-denominational gathering of Christians who enjoy traditional worship services. Where to Find Us Through April, 2016 Faith Fellowship of Lexington worships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church facilities at 968 Lane Allen Road in Lexington, Kentucky. Our offices are located at 365 Waller Avenue, Suite 120, in Lexington. We're at on the web. The Pastor s Pen by Dr. Bill Turner, Senior Pastor Over these years, many of the SDA members have worshipped with us on Fifth Sundays, Maundy Thursdays, and Christmas Eves, adding much to our special services. Now it's time, before we depart, to worship with them. Saturday morning - 11:00 am - see you there. THEN, Sunday, is Missions Day at Faith Fellowship - a great way to wind up our time on Lane Allen Road! This is an annual service where we learn about much of the hard work and good ministry done by our congregation over this past year. It's also the time to begin thinking about our "God Provides" commitments for the coming year. Beyond that, make your plans to be part of the crowd which will meet in our new home on May 1st for a great service of celebration and hope. It's "Doxology" time! I hope you'll join us on Saturday at 11:00 am. It's time to say "thank you" to the SDA congregation who've shared their space with us over these seven years. We'll do that with a brief presentation as part of their Saturday/Sabbath service this week - AND with our presence as we worship with them.

God Provides On Missions Sunday (April 24) you will find a God Provides card in your bulletin. The purpose of God Provides is to covenant with God to look for unexpected income throughout the next year and then share some or all with Faith Fellowship Missions fund. This is not a pledge toward the church general budget. It is a decision you prayerfully make to contribute an amount for missions that only you and God will know. While this program helps to fund our Mission work, it also helps build our faith and dependence on God, who provides all that we have. Simply write the amount on the card, address the envelope to yourself, and place it in the offering plate that day, or return it the next Sunday. The cards will be mailed back to you next spring before Missions Sunday 2017.

In 2013, the Bacon Family was encouraged by a family friend to join a mission trip team he was leading in Central Honduras. Since that life changing trip, they have traveled back to serve alongside the people of the Agalta Valley on group trips as well as individually. The people of Honduras have enriched and inspired them and they are blessed to get to know some of their Christian brothers and sisters in Honduras. Jennifer is the daughter of Judy Brand. 5 Pray for Roger Blair who was delayed once again in receiving results of tests about a mass found in his lung. Pray for Roger, Carolyn and family. Pray for the Carol Brester family who died on April 1. Pray for Sherry Brodock, who is now beginning chemo for a year for a very serious brain tumor. Pray also, for her husband, Earl Gaddis. Sherry is a friend of Susan Booker. Pray for the family of Dr. David Cassidy, a Lexington Cardiologist who was killed on Paris Pike Sunday, April 17 while riding his bike. He had been dating Lynne, daughter of Lyen and Helen Crews for almost a year. Please pray for David s family, Lynne, and all who mourn this tragic loss. Pray for Jim Hyde who has serious diabetes and problems with his kidneys. Pray for Edward Kirn who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Pray for family and friends of Dr. Rice Leach who died recently. Pray for Shannon Mirzaian, age 47, daughter of Buddy and Linda A Whisper from God. My Peace I leave with you Two days after Buddy Wilkie s funeral service, a beautiful double rainbow appeared to Andy Watson near Iron Works Pike as she was on her way to Georgetown. She says the picture just does not do it justice. She was so in awe that she stopped and got out of her car, as did two people behind her. They all stood there and marveled at the beauty and the richness of the colors. She said she has never seen colors of a rainbow so vibrant. A double rainbow.andy had not only lost her dear friend, Buddy, who she dated for 8 years, she lost another dear friend, right around the same time Dr. Rice Leach, Commissioner of Health for the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. He and Andy grew up next door to each other. The beauty of this rainbow was as if God had whispered in her ear that both of her dear friends were in His hands. Such peace came over her that she has not shed another tear. She knows that they are with the Father and she will see them again one day. Only God can give peace in such a beautiful way. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 NKJV Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NKJV

6 Hogan who is fighting an aggressive form of cancer. The cancer is in multiple areas of her body. Pray for Todd Pickett, long-time friend of the Compton s. Todd is in dire need of a kidney transplant. Please pray earnestly that doctors can find a match soon. Pray for Rev. Jeff Sames who was in a serious car accident last week. He injured his back, fractured his sternum, has broken ribs, a broken foot and broken toes. Pray for Rev. Ted Sisk who is in Hospice Care at Tanbark. Pray for Gene Strassner that God will give Gene, Nancy and the doctors discernment about his treatment. Pray for Barbara Wilhoite, daughter of Phyllis Budde. Barbara is having surgery today on her eye due to a Mac hole in her retina. Following surgery she has to lay on her stomach for several days. Pray that all goes well. Pray for family and friends of Buddy Wilkie who died on 4/1. Faith from the Front Porch by Jackie Bondurant Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. The LORD performs righteous deeds and judgments for all who are oppressed. Psalm 103:5-6 The front porch is empty now of furniture. I look out the front door to see if the mail has come and glance around disappointed as only the remnant of snow and grit from the winter on the floor remains. Then I remember that soon the weather will be warm and we will be anxious to take the furniture out of the shed and put it back in its rightful place. Even in winter, the porch is a special place. I remembered a cold Halloween night, when a child dressed proudly in her Frozen gown, stood on the porch with other children shivering as she waited her turn to grab some candy. At Christmas, there was the annual array of carolers gathered around the porch to sing us a merry Christmas. And then I remembered Grandma. Not able to take her usual daily walk around the block because of bad weather, she would walk back and forth across the front porch. And even before the porch can be properly dressed for its season, there will be the arrival of a family of robins who enjoy nesting in the corner of the front column. Old friends and new gather on the front porch throughout the year.

Please send them by to Announcements for the Sunday bulletin should be sent to Norma by noon on Wednesdays at Thank You, God, for where we have been On January 11, 2009 this congregation came to the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 968 Lane Allen Road to gather for worship as a new congregation by the name of Faith Fellowship of Lexington. At that time we were heartbroken, disappointed and discouraged. The S-dA folks opened their church and their hearts to us and allowed us to have a place to worship our Lord through Jesus Christ our Savior, to gather our thoughts, to forgive those who hurt us deeply, to ask for forgiveness of our sins, to heal, to be renewed, to be hopeful, to reach out to others and to eventually look to the future. In addition to being so very grateful to God, we struggle to find sufficient words to express to Rev. Goia and the Seventh-day Adventist congregation our gratitude for everything they have done for us. Surely the Lord is in the place and we thank God for choosing to touch our lives with theirs. We thank our S-dA brothers and sisters for their prayers, encouragement and support in these past years and also as we go forward to this new church building on Liberty Road. Because they reached out to us in the name of Jesus we are changed and we are so grateful. May God bless them as they continue their ministry. Our prayers will remain with them as they do God s work in Jesus Name. And for where we are going Liberty Road Faith Fellowship here we come with joyful hearts, renewed spirits and love overflowing. God is so good!
