Wood All will be well and all will be well and every manner of thing shall be well. (Julian of Norwich) Have you found a house yet? Any offers on your house? These are questions I hear quite often. While the prospect of selling my home in Frankfort and moving to Lexington is exciting, I m practicing what I preach and continue to wait on God who is faithful to provide for my needs. I trust God s timing and am confident that the Spirit at work in me is leading me at a pace that is not only in perfect synchrony with God s providence, but also healthy for me. I admit that I do get excited when potential buyers come and look at the house I bought less than a year ago. Thanks to my children who invested their time and sweat equity in some aesthetic improvements, I ve grown to love the house and am proud to call it home. I look forward to finding a house in Lexington that I can make into a home, but I realize it may take some time. And that s okay! I rejoice on the drive in to work every morning - and I give thanks for my many blessings as I drive allllllll the way home each night. From the beauty of the rolling green horse farms to the deep, rich wash of colors in the sunsets, the scenery I enjoy on my trip to town each day is an ever-changing reminder of a creative and loving heavenly Father whose providence has never failed me. All is well! And I believe that

After 2 years chasing tornadoes and finishing his degree, Bill moved to Spartanburg, S.C. It was there he met his wife, Connie. Since arriving in Lexington in 1999, Bill Meck has seen over 100,000 Kentucky kids with his Weather 101 presentations. Before coming to LEX 18, Bill was weekend meteorologist at WTHR- TV in Indianapolis. Our first Sunday of Sharing will be Sunday, March 18. We ask you to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass. Since 1984 they have provided a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children who have traveled to Lexington for pediatric care. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Although their cost to operate a room is $72 per night, they ask guest families to contribute only $10 per night. NO FAMILY IS EVER TURNED AWAY due to an inability to contribute. Please see the brochures on the table outside the church office for more information. Ronald McDonald House does not receive ANY government funding. They rely solely on the generosity of individuals, corporations or foundations in our community. Please give as generously as you can. You can donate cash or write a check to LRFF and be sure to write RMH Charities in the memo section of your check.
7 Pray for Brian Fortson, Joanne Fortson s step-son, who is having some very serious medical issues. He is having more testing done to see if there is something more doctors can do for him. Pray that they will be able to get him transferred to Lexington so that they both will be more at ease and their church family can minister to them. Pray for Harold Lawson who was recently hospitalized with heart issues. Harold is now home, but still needs prayers for strength and healing. Prophets & Kings Study Join us on Tuesdays, beginning March 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. for a study on Prophets and Kings, led by Dr. Joanne Fortson. Like the first part in this DVD series, this study tours key locations in the Holy Land and explores how the geography and culture of the time influenced the events you read about in scripture. Although this picks up where the first study left off, you can join us even if you did not attend the first part. We will look at the turbulent times of some of the kings of Israel and Judah and the prophets God rose up alongside them. Men and women are invited to come, listen, watch the video and join in discussion of this new study. If you want a book, please check that category on the sign-up sheet located in the foyer. Books cost $7 each. IT IS NOT REQUIRED that you use a book. But if you want one, make checks payable to Women s Fellowship, or you can pay cash. This study begins next Tuesday, March 20. Please send them by A Lovely Gathering... By Pat Hill Dear congregation, I had the opportunity on Tuesday, March 6 to host a luncheon at my home for our new pastor and 12 members of our congregation. Having been a teacher and remembering what it was like to try to absorb 130 new names as quickly as possible, I remembered how learning names comes in layers. Our luncheon was beautiful, and we all had such wonderful fellowship in a small intimate setting. There were three ladies that I had not had the pleasure to sit by in church or otherwise get to know. I am a widow with one son and no grandchildren and no family in Lexington. I TREASURE friendship. Most of us are retired and have left our professions and may or may not still meet with our former colleagues. We see each other every week in church. We need to CARE for each other. There are many categories of people in our church: widows, widowers, couples, men and women who have suffered divorce, members who are alone, members who are in ill health. I would encourage those of you who have space to invite Pastor Lisa and some folks to your house for potluck or coffee and dessert or a picnic outside when the weather breaks. The key is that home settings are quieter and more intimate than a restaurant. I guarantee that YOU will receive the greatest blessing! Altar Flower Fund Donations If you would like to donate money to our Altar Flower Fun in honor or in loving memory of someone special to you, please fill out a form located in your bulletins on Sunday or give Norma a call in the church office at These funds will go to the altar flower fund to help pay for special event flowers. An insert will be placed in the bulletin on Easter Sunday listing those you choose to honor or remember.
12 to libertyroadfaithfellowship.org Announcements for the Sunday bulletin should be sent to Norma by NOON on Wednesdays at libertyroadfaithfellowship.org Ann Crowe is posting events/dates on our website calendar so if you have an event that needs to be posted please notify her at libertyroadfaithfellowship.org or call her at the church office by NOON on Wednesdays. WKYT In case of inclement weather, please tune into WKYT (Channel 27) for church closings. Liberty Elementary Needs Our Help By David Bondurant Our friends at Liberty Elementary have asked us to help them provide fresh vegetables for their students. But, we don t have to buy them, we have to GROW them. The school has a garden area. The volunteers who helped in past years are not available and it s time to get started raising things. The vegetables raised can be used later in the spring when the PTA has an Eat Healthy program during a specific lunchtime. And it s a good bet that some surplus veggies could find their way to a volunteers home! If you can help, please contact David or Jackie Bondurant at (859) or davidbondurant4@gmail.com or jackiebondurant5@gmail.com. Thanks. This is a wonderful opportunity to continue our great relationship with our school!
