2 A word from the President First let me thank all of you who went to the CMA Louisiana State Rally. We had a great time of praise and worship along with lots of fellowship. It was so exciting to spend time with the founder of CMA Herb Shreve. While in the goodie store, Jean and I had the priviledge of viewing Herb s CMA membership card, and yes his member number is # 1. A few weeks later several of us enjoyed the first Louisiana Fast Lane Rally. We saw God move in such a mighty way. The Victory Riders took the first shift in the hospitality tent at the offroad parking lot. In the two hours we were there we blessed 14 bikes (most of them were not CMA). God was moving in a mighty way. What a great relief the cooler weather has been. Now if we can only get a little rain to sooth the dry parched earth. The grass is dying and the trees leaves are falling due to the dry weather. All the cooler weather means better riding. Jean and I took a ride last Saturday to Jennings, LA to grab a burger at the Rocket Drive In. What a great day we had as we just enjoyed God s creations. I am looking forward to Colors and can hardly wait to see all our friends and spend time connecting with God. There are so many opportunities to worship Him and to enjoy His splendor in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains. If you are not able to attend the Changing of the Colors Rally please keep those that attend in your prayers. I am so proud to be a part of the Victory Riders chapter of CMA. It is such a blessing to serve with each of you as God leads us into the world to share His word. Please be in prayer for upcoming elections of our chapter officers. Allow God to lead you in the area He would have you serve and support those that God places in the leadership positions. God has a plan for each of us in this ministry we call CMA. He wants us to love those He places in our path. We must be open and attentive to His will for our lives and our chapter. Thank you for being obedient to the calling of God in your life. It s All About JESUS! David Smith, President Chaplain s Corner Luke 9: John responded, Master, we saw someone driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him because he does not follow us. 50 Don t stop him, Jesus told him, because whoever is not against you is for you. We see here that all Christians are to be for each other and help one another. We may go to different churches but we worship the same Lord. As long as we believe the Word of God and believe that Jesus died for our sin and rose again, that is the truth. We live our lives as holy as we can and try to serve and spread the Word of God; we are on the same team. Denomination should be put aside for we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Always praying for one another and lifting each other up. I have always believed that all Christians should greet each other with happiness and love and not treat them as if they were strangers. I was out this weekend and met a fellow brother and I was surprised by the welcome I received. Not what I thought it would be. I know that I am not as outgoing as I should be, but never mistreat anyone. Sometimes I receive a better welcome from strangers than other Christians. That s a sad thing to have to say. I am happy to say that no one in our chapter has ever done this. Let us continue to support each other and pray for each other with the love of Christ. H.O. Berry Chaplain, Victory Riders Old Folk Tale An old man sat outside the walls of a great city. When travelers approached, they would ask the old man, "What kind of people live in this city?" The old man would answer, "What kind of people live in the place where you came from?" If the travelers answered, "Only bad people live in the place where we came from," the old man would reply, "Continue on; you will find only bad people here." But if the travelers answered, "Good people live in the place where we came from," then the old man would say, "Enter, for here too, you will find only good people."
3 Road Captain Report On Thursday, September 2 David & Jean left early for a weekend campout on Iron Mountain. They camped for 4 nights and did some riding around Mena and made a trip over to Magazine Mountain where they ran into Vicki and Clayton Davis and Pam and Roger Whitlock. A flat tire delayed them on the way up, but the ride home was pleasant and uneventful. September 5 Donnie, Dillon & H.O. rode to Selby United Methodist church. Donnie brought the message. We were received well and had a good time in the worship service. Jason made the ride to Eunice for the State Rally on the 11 th, but all of the other Victory Riders who attended were in cages for one reason or another. On the 15 th H.O. visited Bro. Tucker and Montie Lanier. They had prayer and a good visit. She was in good spirits, but still needs our prayers. On the 24 th Rudy rode to the Fast Lane Rally at Cotile Lake, while once again, everyone else had to take a car. Dillon rode the 4wheeler trails at Camp Claiborne on the 25 th at the Rally while H.O., Paula, David & Jean worked the hospitality tent. Donnie also rode and Jeanie helped at the tent. We will soon be heading to Iron Mountain for the Colors Rally. That should be a good time in the Lord as well as some good riding. Looking forward to some good riding be safe! State Prayer Leader Message There is a difference between believing in God and believing God. Many believe in God, but few believe God. Even satan and his demons believe in God. All born-again Christians should believe God, not just believe in Him. Believing God is synonymous with faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God. God is the same for us today as He was for Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah, Peter, John and Paul. God makes us promises, real ones, promises of things like all-surpassing power, fruitfulness, peace, and joy that can and should be realities in our life. In order to believe God we must have a personal, active relationship with Him. What does it mean to have an active relationship with God? It means that God is a constant presence in our life. It means that His presence influences everything about us-what we think and say, what we do and don t do, how we feel and react to people and circumstances, who our friends are, the decisions we make. There should be strong, obvious evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in our life as presented in Gal. 5:22-23, and an absence of sin as presented in verses Love, agape love, should be the foundation of and motivation of all our interactions with people (John 13:34-35). People should know us for our love. There are so many hurting people in this world that can only be touched, healed and changed by a loving, healing God that is demonstrated through us. Elieen Stokes T.W. Kirl Road Captain
