You can find us on the web at We Gather for Fellowship Coffee/Donut Fellowship Time: 9:00-10:30 a.m. in room 6 Thank you for helping us keep our church clean and tidy by keeping all the food and beverages in room 6 (Hospitality room) on Sunday mornings. We Gather for Bible Study The Living Faith Sunday school meets at 9:30 a.m. in room 9. Scot Reeves, teacher. The In Between Class meets at 10:00 a.m. in room 1. Hope Spoonamore, teacher. The Adult Bible Study meets at A Word from the Pastor instances occur, we re prepared.) Thanks to the forethought and consideration of our Safety Team, we have a fine plan in place for notifying our people in the event we need to cancel services due to weather conditions. (There are other protocols this group has established that apply to events I hope we never experience, however if such No minister ever wants to cancel worship services, but there are times when temperatures and frozen precipitation on the ground dictate the necessity. WKYT s protocol for notifying the station and getting our church s closure in the collective scroll worked easily; Scot Reeves posted our decision on our Facebook page, and only a few phone calls had to be made to insure that no one needed to compromise their health and safety by venturing out on icy roads in frigid temperatures. Once again, Sarah Reeves will be facilitating a planning meeting for our Faith Frenzy activities. This meeting is open to everyone who has an idea for a program, event, or trip. We will meet in Kearns Hall following the worship service on Feb. 17 and lunch will be provided. (Please sign up so we know how much food to prepare.) Bring your active minds and creativity, along with a spirit of fun and adventure! We are an active congregation when it comes to ministry and missions, fellowship and having fun together. We are so happy to be a part of the LRFF fold and look forward to the day we can all return to worship with you. Please continue to pray for 3-year-old Marie as she continues chemotherapy. Please stop by the Hospitality Room this Sunday and add your name and artwork to the pillowcase we are creating for Marie Haithcox. There will be an assortment of Sharpie markers for writing a short blessing ( God Bless You! or I m praying for you, or Sweet dreams, etc.) and including a little image (a rainbow, flower, animal, butterfly, etc.). If you don t fancy yourself an artist, simply sign your name. The pillowcase will remind Marie that her church is remembering her in their prayers.

The Legends Breakfasts are held at 9:00 a.m. in Kearns Hall at Liberty Road Faith Fellowship. The cost for breakfast is $10.00 and reservations can be made by calling (859) by NOON today. The Board will meet in the Library. Sunday Crafternoon By Rev. Lisa Wood Don t forget to sign up for our crafternoon of fun and card-making. We ll be making four greeting cards that includes doing a black ice technique that is stunning. Space is limited and the cost is $10 and includes all materials except scissors and adhesive. (We recommend either a permanent tape runner or small bottle of Tombow glue.) Make your check payable to the church and plan to join us Sunday afternoon, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. in Kearns Hall.

Prayer Requests To add a prayer request, please fill out a Prayer Request card, call the church office at , or submit a prayer request or update online by going to Libertyroadfaithfellowship.org. Most requests are left in the bulletin and newsletter for 2 weeks or so and will be taken out as space is needed for other requests. Pray for Gerald Back, Glenda s A New Bible Study in the New Year By Dr. Joanne Fortson Each Tuesday, beginning next week, January 29, at 1:00 p.m. in the church Library, we will grasp new insights into the Bible and what it means for you as we continue our Bible study based on Ray Vander Laan's fascinating video series that weaves together the Bible's historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts. We will focus on "The Death and Resurrection of the Messiah" in a 10-week study. With two snow days planned into our schedule, we will finish this study a week before Easter. We will meet in the Library, but if our group is too large we will move to Kearns Hall. You do not need a book to participate in the study, but if you would like to have a book, it costs $7.50. Please be sure to sign up in the foyer and mark on the sign-up sheet if you want me to get a book for you. If you do not want a book, you can simply show up. Don t worry if you cannot attend each session. Just come when you can. You will be blessed!

6 husband, who fell on ice this past weekend and broke his ankle. He is recovering from surgery at home. Pray for Jean Simpson, who is back at Baptist Health ICU. She had to have surgery recently. Please pray for her as she recovers. Pray also for Jean s husband, Silver Simpson, who is dealing with serious health issues at home. Silver and Jean live at 1617 Cantrill Drive, Lexington, KY Pray for Joyce Reaguer, who is at Homestead Health Care facility on Versailles Road for rehab after having a stroke. Cards can be sent to 4232 Jasmine Rose Way, Lexington, KY Pray for Elmer Day, Kevin Maudsley s cousin, who has completed chemo and will now start radiation treatments for his pancreatic cancer. Pray for Steve Cohen, brother-inlaw of Kevin Maudsley, who has multiple health issues and continues to be in and out of the hospital. Pray for Jackie Bondurant s cousin, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is going to Cleveland Clinic for further Missions Moment By Catherine Cook, Missions Committee Chair Liberty Road Faith Fellowship seeks to become the hands and feet of Christ in the world through engagement in missions. In conjunction with the SOUPer Bowl Luncheon and Service Auction on February 3, we ask that you bring canned goods. Your donations will replenish the supply at the Salvation Army during their busiest season. A table will be set up to collect these items. Please be sure to check the expiration dates on cans before you bring them. CANNED GOODS NEEDED -Meats (tuna, chicken, ham) - Fruits -Vegetables -Juices -Soups -Beef Stew -Peanut butter Each item is appreciated. Thank You for giving! SOUPer Bowl Sunday February 3 We hope you will plan to join us for SOUPer Bowl Sunday on February 3 rd. Our Social Committee has decided to prepare chili, vegetable soup, corn bread and sandwiches for our meal. All we ask is that you bring canned goods to donate to Salvation Army to help them restock their shelves since this is a busy time of year. We do need for you to sign up, however, so the Social Committee will know how much to prepare. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the foyer (over the water fountains). Or you can call Norma in the church office ( ) and she will be glad to write your name on the list.

Pray for Kent Fortson, husband of Joanne Fortson, who is dealing with serious medical issues at home. Pray for Marie Haithcox, age 3, who is recovering from surgery to remove a malignant kidney and has begun chemotherapy. Pray for Joey Maggard, a former student of Les Anderson. Joey is recovering from colon-rectal surgery. Pray for Jamie Svec as he ministers to the people of Jordan through January 30. Jamie s parents are Jim and Linda Svec. Pray for Unspoken requests of the heart. Many people are private and do not wish to share things they are going through with others, but they still have concerns, anxiety and even worry over things going on in their lives. Everyone is going through something. Be sure to lift up unspoken requests and ask God to cover them with His grace. Pray for Mark Sisk, brother of Jon Sisk, who has begun chemotherapy. Pray for Chad Manley, as he Our Service Auction will be held on SOUPer Bowl Sunday as well... Several people have volunteered services for this auction. The proceeds will go toward refurbishing the sanctuary. If YOU have a service that you would like to donate, please contact Pastor Lisa so that she can include it in the auction. Here are the names of the service people we currently know about. SSGT. Jamen Berry, son of Andy Berry, is in the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas. He will retire next summer. Senior Airman Benjamin Engelbrecht has completed his military service, has married, and is now living in Kentucky. Elnur Iskandarov nephew of Ginny Berry by marriage, is in the 10th Group, Special Forces Unit in Ft. Carson, Colorado. Capt. Ginny Iskandarov niece of Get healthier as you Pause to P.A.W. It s NOT too late to join in! Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kearns Hall as we walk and pray our way around the gym. It s a great way to begin a new discipline that will benefit both body and soul. Set your own pace in your stride and in your prayers. Bring a friend and walk beside each other. If you prefer not to walk, you re Pray & Walk welcome to sit in chairs we have available and pray. P.A.W. began January 8, and will continue each Tuesday and Thursday. The doors will be open from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.; come any time you like during these two hours; walk as much as you want; leave when you want. We hope you ll choose to join us! Some of our P.A.W. 9 Ginny Berry, graduated. Ginny is now attending the military college at Ft. Leavenworth for one year and is on the list for promotion to Major. Luke Pepperl, grandson of Jim Pepperl, is in Navy SEALs training at San Diego, California. Lt. Cameron Smith brother of Sean Smith, is in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jake Vessels grandson of Helen Crews, is in the National Guard. Jake has been deployed to Africa. First Time Bell Ringer A Late Thank You... Christmas came and went, but our gratitude remains. Thank you, Jack Judy, for becoming a first-time bell ringer for the Salvation Army.
