Notes from Richard...and don't have it back yet. This may have been obvious to you for quite awhile. However; not even my closest friends dared to tell me. When my computer crashed a week ago, I lost the ability to access information that wasn't stored in my head. First, denial set in (I thought the computer would open the next day). Then, there was a period of bargaining (maybe if I would let the computer rest for a day, but alas, nothing changed). Finally, came the hard reality of the loss...among other information, my daily calendar for the next five years could not be accessed. As the week progressed, whenever someone would call and say. "Richard, are you coming?" I would respond with, "Where am I supposed to be?" My thoughts turned to Biblical themes of lostness. There were the parables of the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the lost son. There was the reality of the feelings of Mary and Joseph before the boy Jesus was found in the temple teaching. A few days later my thoughts turned to "I once was lost but now I'm found" from Amazing Grace. So you can readily see how losing my mind stirred up a myriad of other thoughts and feelings. These will provide more thoughts for The Current next week.

4 parking lot of Ashland by the Ice House at 10:45, tour begins at 11:00 a.m. Cost is $10 or $9 if we have ten people or more in the group. After the tour, we will have lunch (lunch cost not included in the tour) at the Ginkgo Tree which is located on the grounds of Ashland. Ashland was the estate of Henry Clay, a statesman who was very involved in the history of Kentucky and the United States. You will enjoy this tour. Bring a friend. So many times when I post pictures that Sarah Lynn Reeves (pictured right) has taken for us, I don t see her in those pictures even though she participated. Sarah is so humble that she doesn t care. She enjoys taking pictures so that everyone else can enjoy them. That s just one of the things I love about her. When you get a chance, thank Sarah for taking the time and going to the expense of doing this for us. We appreciate you, Sarah! Congratulations! Congratulations to Andrew and Caitlin Baker on the birth of their son, Frederick Fritz Allen Baker. Fritz was born on May 30, 2015 and weighed in at 5 lbs. 10 ozs. Proud grandparents are Rev. Gary and Lynnette Baker and Joe and Barb West. Andrew has worked with Faith Fellowship for years in coordinating parking for Fifth Sundays. He has proved to be a very responsible and dependable young man. Thank you, Andrew for all you have done for Faith Fellowship. We appreciate you!

What a nice surprise for their mother and what a wonderful legacy the McCarty s have passed on to their children!

Earlene and Dr. Turner will be traveling to see Earlene s mom. Pray for Mildred s surgery and recovery and for Bill and Earlene s safe travel and peace of mind. Pray for Martha Lester who will move to Louisville in August. Martha has served Faith Fellowship faithfully and she will be greatly missed. Pray for her as she continues to grieve the loss of her love and as she deals with this move. Pray for Al Smith who deals with chronic pulmonary issues. 7 therapy. Pray for Jackie Kirn who fell and broke her hip and her femur recently and underwent surgery on Thursday, June 9 at Baptist Health. Please pray for Jackie and the Kirn family. Kevin Parrish says that his dad is adjusting to having his eye removed and doctors were able to get all the cancer. There will be no need for chemo treatment at this time. Thank you for your prayers. Susan Booker has requested prayer for a childhood friend, Anne, who lives out of state. Anne is battling cancer and is on her third or fourth round of chemo and is having lots of unpleasant side effects. Her husband, Steve, had a bad fall a few weeks ago and had to have surgery for his broken shoulder and cannot drive at present. Their two daughters have both come home from out of state to help, but it's been tough for all of them. Thank you for lifting this family up in prayer. 8 having one of his legs amputated and his other leg is broken. Please remember Adam and his mother in prayer during this difficult time. (anonymous) Pray for Fred Smith who is healing from a broken bone in his foot. Pray for Richard Potts who is recovering nicely from surgery for an aneurysm. Pray for Todd Pickett who is in dire need of a kidney because of diabetes complications. Pray for Paul Engelbrecht s mother who has been hospitalized for ongoing health issues. The family requests prayers for her recovery. Pray for Helen Crews great nephew, Joe Starks who will serve as a missionary in Northern Afghanistan in August. His family is very anxious because he will not be in a safe area. Pray for Mary, who continues to take chemo treatments. Mary sincerely appreciates our ongoing prayers on her behalf.
