1 PHONE: (972) Robert James Law November 19, April 4, 2004 Mr. Robert James Law, age 55, of Plano, Texas passed away on April 4, 2004 at his home. He was born on November 19, 1948 to Robert Edward and Lillie (Peterson) Law in Cincinnati, Ohio. On January 9, 1982, he married Vickie Ann Chopski in The Colony, Texas. He was a salesman. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Parker, Texas and was involved in the mission field and speaking the Gospel. He is survived by his wife, Vickie; son, Christopher Law of Plano, Texas; mother, Lillie Law of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and sister, Sharon Dillingham of Bowling Green, Kentucky. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 7, 2004 in the Turrentine-Jackson- Morrow Chapel with Rev. Greg Gooch and Rev. James Everidge officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Memorials Bob was a great friend and mentor who invested his life in mine for several years. He not only told me what integrity was but showed me by the way he lived his life. None of us are perfect in all we say and do - and I know Bob would be one of the first to agree; but what matters in the end is our unwavering faith in our Lord. He is the one who determines our steps in life and the kind of legacy we leave behind. Bob left a big legacy for many. Thank you Bob, for personally filling a big hole in my life. You were and still are the

2 dad I never had. You were always there to make me laugh or to offer a shoulder to let me cry. Thank you Vickie and Chris for your sharing him with me... he was and is a great man. I love you Bob, and I miss you greatly. LEE MCCULLOUGH, MARCH 5, 2006 BOBBY AND I HAVE LIVED MILES APART FOR MANY YEARS BUT HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE CLOSE IN MY HEART. I THANK THE LORD FOR GIVING US THE TIME TOGETHER BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY. IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE ABLE TO SPEND EACH NIGHT AT THE HOSPITAL WITH HIM. WE BOTH LIKE TO KID AROUND SO WE DID A LOT OF THAT BUT WE ALSO REMEMBERED FUN THINGS FROM OUR CHILDHOOD. WE LAUGHED, CRIED, AND HUGGED. WE WERE LIKE MOST BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WE HAD OUR MOMENTS BUT NO ONE ELSE COULD MESS WITH EITHER OF US. I REMINDED HIM OF THE TIME WE PAINTED MOM'S KITCHEN. HE WAS 14YRS. AND I WAS 15YRS. OLD. "I" DECIDED IT WOULD BE A NICE SURPRISE TO PAINT MOM'S KITCHEN YELLOW. ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH THE JOB I REALIZED THIS WAS HARD WORK. I CONVINCED BOBBY HE WAS A GUY AND STRONGER THAN ME SO HE SHOULD DO THE REST OF THE PAINTING. IT TOOK CONSTANT ENCOURAGING BUT HE FINISHED. I DON'T THINK WE EVER PAINTED TOGETHER AGAIN. HUM? WE REMEMBERED HOW WE USED TO MAKE BOW AND ARROWS OUT OF TREE LIMBS SO WE COULD PLAY COWBOYS AND INDIANS. THAT WAS THE THING BACK THEN. MUD PUDDLES WERE BIG WHEN WE WERE 5 AND 6 YRS OLD. WE'D SIT WITH OUR FEET IN THE MUDDY WATER AND SQUISH MUD BETWEEN OUR TOES. I'D MAKE MUD PIES AND OFFER THEM TO HIM. WE'D SAVE OUR PENNYS AND TAKE THEM TO MOM AND DAD AND TELL THEM WE'D PAY FOR US TO GO TO THE DRIVE IN, KNOWING VERY WELL THEY WOULDN'T TAKE OUR MONEY BUT WE'D STILL GET TO GO TO THE MOVIES. PRETTY SLICK! THERE'S SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES I HAVE TO REMEMBER MY BROTHER BUT THE BEST OF ALL ARE HIS LOVE FOR THE LORD AND HOW HE LIVED

3 IT. HE NOT ONLY TALKED THE TALK, BUT WALKED THE WALK. EVEN AS HE WAS SO SICK HE WAS STILL CONCERNED ABOUT OTHERS. HE LOVED HIS WIFE AND SON AND WAS SO VERY PROUD OF THEM. HE SAID SEVERAL TIMES WHAT A GOOD BOY CHRIS WAS. HE WAS A CARING PERSON. HE KEPT HIS FAITH RIGHT TO THE END. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THINGS HAVE TO BE THE WAY THEY ARE BUT I KNOW GOD KNOWS WHAT'S BEST AND HE HAS A REASON AND PURPOSE FOR EVERYTHING. I MISS BOBBY AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE MORE DAY BUT AS WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE NEVER ENOUGH ONE MORE DAYS. WE JUST HAVE THE PROMISE THAT WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN ONE DAY... FOR ETERNITY. BOBBY, AS TEARS RUN DOWN MY FACE AND MY HEART HAS A CRACK IN IT, KNOW I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH. THANKS FOR GUIDING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION SO MANY TIMES AND NOT JUDGING ME. I deeply appreciate his intense desire to help people who had great need. JUDY UNDERHILL, APRIL 7, 2004 When I remember Bob, I think about his love for Christ. He was a visible representation to others of what Jesus wanted His followers to be about-- encouraging and loving one another, rescuing those in need physically and spiritually while serving those that he could. Bob's primary mission in life was to help others find Jesus. I know he fulfilled Jesus' Christmas wishes found in Matthew 25 with his smile, his mission support activities, the "goat project", Progreso and his ready prayers and encouragement to those in need. My family and I will miss Bob. ANNE NEWMAN, APRIL 6, 2004 Bob was the perfect example of a prayer warrior. My first encounter with him was when I sent an eprayer through the prayer line for my daughter in college.

4 She was struggling with being homesick and needed prayer. Some of us read the prayers, some of us go on and say a quick prayer when we read the requests and some of us really petition to our Lord for these requests. But very few go as far as Bob did. He not only sent me a prayer of encouragement. He sent my daughter one and then sent her a note along with some brochures to encourage her. That was such an amazing thing to me! When God used Bob to encourage not only me but my daughter, He really taught both of us the value of not only praying, but taking that extra step to encourage. I knew Bob wasn't exactly sitting around looking for something to do, but he actually took the time to pray, write and encourage someone he didn't even know. He was immediately endeared to me. I knew he took prayer seriously and I wanted to get to know him. MARY REEVES, APRIL 5, 2004 Nothing but good ones. CHRISTOPHER MARK HALLSTROM, APRIL 5, 2004 Bob was a man of the Word. He wasn't ashamed of his Jesus. If you ever needed a encouragement, comfort or a good swift kick in the butt, Bob was the one to call. My favorite memories are when we worshipped together, in the hospital and at his home. We read from God's Word and sang praises to the King. Bob would raise his hands and say "Blessed be the name of the Lord" Now, Bob is doing that face to face with his Lord. I know he has heard his Jesus say "Well done". We will miss him dearly. SANDY STILES, APRIL 5, 2004 The one thing I remember (and loved most) about Bob was his love of the Lord and passion for spreading the gospel. Bob didn't just believe in feeding the spirit, he believed in feeding the physical body as well. The one ministry I'll always associate with Bob is his goat ministry in Mexico.
