10 Louisa DeHart, Summer Mission Trip to serve Rohingya refugees in Southeast Asia This summer, Louisa will be serving Muslim refugees called Rohingya who originate from Myanmar. Tension with their Buddhist home country has led to their exile and none of the surrounding countries are willing to grant them asylum. Many Rohingya seek relocation through the UNHCR and some have been able to resettle in the US, Australia, and Canada. With a Mercy Ministry team, Louisa will be working with Rohingya mothers and their children, teaching lessons on health, giving English classes, and working with the local church to build a relationship with this Muslim community. Pray for Louisa as she serves the Rohingya people this summer. Pray as she considers serving long term. She hopes, within the next few years, to move to Southeast Asia and continue strengthening the relationship between the Rohingya and the Church. Pray that the Rohingya will be reached and the Church would grow. Pray that a lasting bond would be formed this summer and that connections will continue to be made with this community both overseas and among those relocated in the USA.
