CALL TO WORSHIP* From 2 Corinthians 4:6 PRAYER OF INVOCATION* HYMN OF PRAISE AND ADORATION* Holy, Holy, Holy Hymn No. 100 DECLARATION OF FAITH* The Nicene Creed Congregation reads in unison. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, Begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, Begotten, not made, Being of one substance with the Father; by Whom all things were made; Who for us and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, And was made 2 * Congregation stands.

3 man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures, And ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; Who spoke by the prophets; And we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church; And we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; And we look for the resurrection of the dead, And the life of the world to come. Amen. CONFESSION OF SIN From Zephaniah 3 Woe to her who is rebellious and defiled, who listens to no voice and accepts no correction. Woe to her who does not trust in the Lord and does not draw near to her God. On her, the Lord will pour out his indignation and his burning anger. It is our custom to hold the elements and commune together. *If you have not yet embraced Jesus Christ by faith, we invite you to reflect on one of the following prayers. Prayer for those searching for Truth: Lord Jesus, you claim you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Please guide me by your Holy Spirit and open my heart and mind to receive the life you promise. Give me grace to repent of my sin and trust in your perfect sacrifice on my behalf. Teach me what it means to faithfully follow you as Lord. Amen. 8 Reaching the Middle East for Christ Proclamation s 2016 Missions Conference In memory of our former Missions Pastor and MTW missionary, Len Stewart, the Missions Committee is planning a full weekend of activities for our upcoming Missions Conference to be held October The main speakers are Rev. Ashton (Tat) Stewart on Sunday and Dennis Wiens presenting the ministry of SAT-7 at the Saturday evening dinner. SAT-7 is Christian Satellite Television by and for the people of the Middle East and North Africa. Missionaries will be meeting with Fellowship Groups on Friday night, October 14th. Please see the list of Fellowship Groups and the assigned missionary in the Missions Conference Brochure and RSVP to the host if you would like to join a group. On Saturday, Rev. Tat Stewart will be having a seminar Saturday afternoon in Farsi. Also on Saturday night, we will have time to visit with missionaries at the evening meal at 5:00 pm as we enjoy shish kabobs from Kabab Café (Len Stewart s favorite place). Please sign up TODAY on the sign-up sheet on the narthex table for the Saturday night dinner. Also, please indicate if you can bring a dessert. On Sunday morning at 9:30 am, Cindy Wiens will be sharing with children in Pre-K to 6th grade Sunday School class in Rooms 243/245 about the children s programing of SAT-7. Sunday School classes for 7th Graders to adults will be enjoying a panel discussion with Anees Zaka, Tat Stewart, Dennis Wiens and Laura Fels in the Sanctuary. 8

9 News Family Night Proclamation every Wednesday Whether or not you or your children participate in an activity on Wednesday evening, you re welcome to enjoy the fellowship over dinner. Each week, there will be a catered meal available from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. We d appreciate if you d sign-up in the narthex or contact Annette in the church office on Monday if you d like to attend so we can be prepared for an accurate number of people. Community Good Mini-Conference at Springton Lake PC Springton Lake Presbyterian Church in Newtown Square is sponsoring the mini-conference, Community Good on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8:30 am 4:00 pm. Community Good addresses needs and potentials within our faith community, and the communities outside our church in which we live, work, and play. Speakers are Dan Dupee and Julie Lowe. There is no cost but donations are joyfully accepted for the conference and lunch. Register at community-good. Brochures are on the narthex table. College Van Service There is an immediate need for a handful of individuals willing to drive the Proclamation van to pick students up at the colleges at approximately 10:30 AM and then return them to the colleges after the conclusion of the morning worship service. Ideally we'd like to have enough volunteers so that no one person would have to drive more than once per month. If you would like to serve in this important ministry in the life of our church please contact Dan Correnti at (610) or via at correnti24@msn.com. Missions to North America (MNA) Second Career MNA SecondCareer provides opportunities for a changing workforce made up of individuals and couples who are open to a new career calling where they can exercise their gifts to advance and strengthen the Kingdom. These opportunities include long-term and short-term options in a volunteer capacity at various sites across the US and Canada. Our volunteers vary widely in age from 20 on up through retirement. Some are solidly in their first career but at the same time use their skills in a second career capacity for ministries in need. Other people are between jobs, at home, or of retirement age and have flexible schedules. One can make a difference and find significance by having a second career at any time serving God s Kingdom. For more information, go to their website or contact Gary Ogrosky (gogrosky@pcanet.org). 9
