It is our custom to hold the elements and commune together. *If you have not yet embraced Jesus Christ by faith, we invite you to reflect on one of the following prayers. Prayer for those searching for Truth: Lord Jesus, you claim you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Please guide me by your Holy Spirit and open my heart and mind to receive the life you promise. Give me grace to repent of my sin and trust in your perfect sacrifice on my behalf. Teach me what it means to faithfully follow you as Lord. Amen. Prayer of Faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I am sinful. I have sinned by thought, word, and deed. But through your sacrifice I am loved and accepted by my heavenly Father. 7 News Moms Fellowship Brunch Thursday, April 7, 9 11 am Come join us for another Moms' Fellowship Brunch! Proclamation Women s Spring Luncheon Saturday, April 16, 12 2 pm The theme for this year s luncheon is Telling of His Works which completes our focus on Psalm 73:28: But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works. Our Women s Ministry Director, Sara Keiper, will speak about shining where you re planted. There will also be a special appearance by our children s choir. All women are invited. Proclamation 101 Class If you are new to the church and are considering joining Proclamation, or if you have been here for years but would like a refresher on what we believe and how that plays itself out in our daily lives, join us for this 10-week class beginning April 10 at 9:30am. Ben Falconer will be the primary teacher, but many other staff and elders will be involved. Please sign up in the narthex or contact Annette (annette@proclamation.org) in the church office by April 6 so that we can have materials for you for the first day of class. Proclamation Mom s Playgroup Proclamation is excited to announce the launch of a playgroup for moms with young children. The group met for the first time on April 1st and will meet weekly, on Fridays, from 10AM 12PM and will vary its location between two outdoor parks (Haverford Freedom Playground in Delaware County, and East Goshen Park in Chester County). This will be an informal time of fellowship and moms are encouraged to attend when they can to meet and spend time with other moms in the church! Dear concerned friends, I sincerely want to thank all of you who have prayed for my situation, being prevented from working as your sound guy, and in fact, most everything by my recent stroke. Jim Browne is my administrative contact for all information. Laurie & Rich Conte have also been an immense help. They also need lots of prayer. I am greatly improved over my poor initial condition, and very interested in what my future may be as I improve to where I can live like before with certain good changes!--which is my absolute desire. Delaware County Pregnancy Center Annual Banquet April 28th On Thursday night, April 28th, Delaware County Pregnancy Center will be hosting its annual fundraising banquet at Drexelbrook Banquet Facility in Drexel Hill. The banquet will be preceded by a silent auction at 6:15. The banquet itself begins at 7:00. The keynote speaker is Rev. Herb Lusk, pastor of Greater Exodus Baptist Church in Philadelphia. This is the 30th anniversary for the Center. The theme is "The Battle Is Not Over." Please see Chuck Frick or call him to reserve your place at the table. Opportunities for Service Temporary Care for Babs Friel s cat needed We are looking for someone to give Babs cat a home while she is in the medical unit at Lima Estates Retirement Community (about 2 months). All the church members work diligently together to make all of the evangelistic activities of the church run so smoothly and be so successful. We all do our parts. Beth and I along with the help of some of our church young people were able to take all the nine year old and younger children out during Pastor Lee's message to the adults. Beth and her helpers had 16 of the younger children while my helper and I had 29 older children who could listen to a Bible story and do a craft. I showed the "Jesus" dvd adapted for children from the point of Jesus' death on the cross. I was able to pause at various times and explain things. I was shocked at how well this kept their attention. I was thrilled later at the meal when one of the older boys said to me something like, "I don't understand. Why did Jesus have to die if he didn't do anything wrong?" I was able to explain to him more while his father listened too. This is only the second time this family has come to the church. The husband is American and the wife is Japanese. I gave a copy of the "Jesus" dvd to the father so they could watch the whole story together at home. Please pray they will watch it, God will open their hearts, they will return to our church weekly, understand the Gospel and be saved. This is why we are here. This is why we do what we do. Amen? 9

10 Christian Education New Adult Sunday School Electives The Life of Joseph: Triumph in Faith (Genesis 37-50) Dave Moneymaker will teach this class. It will be held in Room 243/245. Sign-up in the narthex. Getting to the Heart of Parenting starts April 10, Location Room 240. This will be an interactive study using Paul Tripp s DVD series of the same name. Mike & Brenda Cuzzolina and Jim and Barbara Rogers will facilitate a time of discussion following the 20 minute video. Parents of children newborn to age 19 are encouraged to attend. Childcare While children of all ages are warmly welcomed in our worship service, for your comfort and convenience, we have childcare (Nursery and Toddler) available during the Sunday School hour and during the worship service and a crying room for families with nursing infants and/or active babies located in the right rear of the sanctuary. Children seven years of age and younger are invited to Children s Church for which they ll be dismissed immediately after the Children s Message. Recordings Audio CD or DVD recordings of today s sermon and adult Sunday School classes are available for a small donation ($3/$5). You may order at the media table located in the Resource Room (across from the Parlor) immediately following the 11 am service, and pick up the following week (usually). If you desire a recording from a prior week, use the order forms that are available on the table.
