10 News Women s Summer Book Study Join the women of Proclamation Presbyterian Church for a 6-week study of Choosing Gratitude, by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, beginning June 1. Women s Regional Conference to be held at Proclamation Sept. 30-Oct. 1 We invite all women (Ages 14, 40, or 104!) to join us as we seek to be TRANSFORMED through studying Romans 11:33-12:2 together. The conference will feature keynote speaker Melissa Kruger, worship, workshops and other opportunities to connect. The PCA is also offering this conference to women in other parts of the country so if you have a friend or family member who lives near Birmingham, Charlotte, Dallas or Ontario, Canada, encourage them to check out the dates, etc. at NOTE: If financial concerns would keep you from attending the conference, please contact Sara Keiper, Director of Women's Ministry ( ). Missions Faith Promise The Missions Committee relies on the pledges made this month to determine the support we can provide our missionaries in the coming year. You ll see one of these cards in the pew back. Please take one and prayerfully consider making a Faith Promise. There s a tear-off portion which you fill in and put in the offering plate. As you keep the committee in prayer, please also keep in mind that the Missions budget is completely separate from our church s operational budget. 10

11 VBS 2016 Olympion July Registration for VBS is well underway. We have already received over 90 completed registrations with about 15 spots available. We are still able to accept registrations for the Pre-K, Kindergarten and 3rd -5th grade boys classes. All other classes are full at this time. If you would like for your child to be put on a waiting list, please Pam Hallman (pam@proclamation.org). We ll be getting in the starting blocks on Monday, July 18th and run through Friday, July 22nd; each day 9:00 am through 12:15 pm, except July 22nd which will conclude with a cook-out and water slide by 1:30 pm! Registration packets are available to download at the church website ( on the table outside the C.E. Office (Room 150) or by calling the church office ( ). Due to unprecedented interest, we encourage you to register your child ASAP. Thank you! PPC Staff Job Opening Maintenance Technician We are currently looking for a part-time maintenance person to support the church s maintenance staff. For further information, please contact Church Administrator & Comptroller Jim Browne (jim@proclamation.org/ x227) Opportunities for Service YoungLives Baby Bottle Campaign 2016 YoungLives is a ministry of Young Life that ministers specifically to teen moms in Norristown, Chester, Sharon Hill, 3 areas of Philadelphia, Coatesville, West Chester and (soon) Phoenixville. Through monthly meetings, Bible studies, mentoring relationships and summer camp Young- Lives seeks to give young mothers practical and emotional support, as well as sharing the Gospel. Thank you to all who took home a baby bottle to help support this vital work with teen mothers and their babies. Remember to return your filled bottle and return it to the table in the narthex by Father s Day (June 19). She is in Hershey Medical Center with a lacerated liver, a damaged carotid artery, a broken collarbone, 3 fractured ribs, a broken nose, and a crack in her skull. May 25 update from Sanjay follows: Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for our daughter, Grace. We praise our great God for today, and for being with Grace in a mighty way. She is improving in the right direction in small baby steps, at a very slow pace. Here's an update: Grace continues to be serious but stable. We praise the Lord for a couple of steps of progress. There are multiple internal issues that pose serious concerns. Please pray that her liver will stop bleeding and that her left carotid artery (inner wall is cut) will heal. Since her vitals have been stable, today the doctors also made the decision to put Grace on a small dose of baby asprin, as a blood thinner, to prevent clots from forming in her carotid artery. Please pray that this does not cause her liver to bleed more. There are also couple of bones and organs that are broken in her upper body to complicate the care and recovery. We are comforted that our Lord is Sovereign and is sitting on the throne. We know this trial came through His hands and with His complete knowledge and we trust Him to accomplish His purpose in Grace and in all of us. He is the Jehovah Ralpha (One who heals). Grace is able to talk and have shared this truth to her friends who visited her. We are so proud of her resolve to take this opportunity to witness and glorify our Lord. In her own words, not waste it. Please pray for the following: 1. That her liver and artery will be completely healed. 2. That the blood thinners she is on won't complicate her healing. 3. That she can continue to be strong and go through this grilling and demanding medical care in next couple months. 4. That our Lord according to His perfect will, will heal and give her full recovery. 5. Pray for Keren and I, as we care for her. 6. Pray for Faith and Paige, that they will grow more in their love and faith in the Lord and see Him in a big and mighty way through all of this. We hope to give her a break from visitors for couple days. Thank you once again for the love, prayers, and concern pouring in from around the world.

Childcare While children of all ages are warmly welcomed in our worship service, for your comfort and convenience, we have childcare (Nursery and Toddler) available during the Sunday School hour and during the worship service and a crying room for families with nursing infants and/or active babies located in the right rear of the sanctuary. Children seven years of age and younger are invited to Children s Church for which they ll be dismissed immediately after the Children s Message. Bibles There are large print Bibles and hearing assist devices available in the narthex. Also, for our Chinese and Spanish-speaking visitors, there are bibles showing the text in your language and English side-by-side. Please return the bible to the narthex after the service. Recordings Audio CD or DVD recordings of today s sermon and adult Sunday School classes are available for a small donation ($3/$5). You may order at the media table located in the Resource Room (across from the Parlor) immediately following the 11 am service, and pick up the following week (usually). If you desire a recording from a prior week, use the order forms that are available on the table.
