PASTORAL CARE FOR THE SICK Please notify the Parish Center when a family member is ill, whether in the hospital or at home. Holy Communion will be brought regularly by appointment to those confined to the home. The sick or chronically ill should receive the Sacrament of Anointing. Needed: Communion Dresses and Suits The Archdiocese of Newark will be organizing their fourth annual collection of gently used and new communion outfits. The Office of Development and Stewardship will be collecting gently used, in good condition, Communion dresses/veils, suits and shoes for our inner city parishes, the Religious Sisters at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart who know families in need, and any parishioner in need of one for their child. Please make sure all outfits are free of stains and clean. The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a formation process for those seeking to become Catholic and for those Catholics wishing to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and First Eucharist). The Most Blessed Sacrament RCIA begins a new formation year in October. Join with others who are interested in learning about Catholic Christianity as we explore who we are, what we believe, how we pray, and how we live our lives as a community of believers. 4 Page Four February 5, 2017 AMBS is a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School!!! We had an excellent celebration of Catholic Schools Week! There were open houses, parent visitations, assembly programs, student competitions, community service opportunities, and lots of fun and excitement! Our highlight was last Sunday s Mass and luncheon when our school and parish community celebrated our school s Blue Ribbon Award! We are very proud of our school!!! A huge thank you to everyone involved in making our week so special parents, faculty, staff, parish leadership, and students!!! We are truly blessed with dedicated adults and children who support and collaborate with us in so many ways! God Bless all of you!!! We are ALWAYS OPEN for a private visit and tour with our Principal to explore the possibility of enrolling at AMBS. Our next Confirmation class and Youth Group meeting will be on Sunday, February 12th from 6:00-7:15 pm and 7:30-9:00 pm. Pizza will be served in between both events. Fathers Who Have Lost A Child The needs of fathers who have suffered the loss of a son or daughter are unique. The Office of Family Life Ministries invites all bereaved fathers to a morning of prayer and discussion in the hope it will provide place of understanding and healing.
