11 Learning for Life 9:30 11:30, every Sunday What is it? Every week before our worship service, people gather to grow in their faith through study and discussion. There is something for your and old, and no one should feel they know too much or too little to take level theology! Ends today! There was a good turnout for these sessions led by Dr. McKim and the deacons. Beginning April 27 th Bible Quizzing Young people will be memorizing scripture through quiz games. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Agent of Grace Facilitated by Mark Anderson Few theologians in the Protestant tradition capture our imagination as compellingly as Dietrich Bonhoeffer, whose fierce courage and unflinching convictions eventually cost him his life. Against the backdrop of Nazi Germany, this bold pastor faithfully lived out his theology of costly of God inspires, challenges, even unsettles to this day believers and nonbelievers alike. Join us beginning April 27 th as we attempt to better discern how the life, legacy and theology of this Christian martyr can deepen our faith. Practicing Prayer Facilitated by Rev. Joel Russell-MacLean This is a - with God through prayer with the support of others. Over the series we will discuss a number of ways of praying, practice together and throughout the week, and report back on the experience. Parents may wish to search online regarding the suitability of the film for children or speak to with Pastor Joel.** This film raises awareness of the realities of sex trafficking and addresses the complex issue of the legalization of prostitution. Human trafficking is an issue right here in Regina. Please join us for an informative evening as the Canadian filmmakers, Jay and Michelle Brock screen this documentary. 13 Mark your Calendars - From your Mission Commission: May 4th Special CBM Communion service with First Karen Baptist Darrell Bustin, CBM Rwanda and Indonesia, will be preaching Luncheon following the service, with Darrell speaking. Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is the national organization that unites our denomination, the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC) with its sister denominations across the rest of Canada. Through our financial and prayer support of CBM, we support evangelism, the education of pastors and lay leaders, and relief and development. Over the past three years, our church has raised around $30,000 in support of CBM field workers, churches and seminaries, and relief and development in Eastern Congo, East seeing the gospel of Jesus established around the world. CBM always operates by invitation and in partnership with local churches, leaders and aid organizations. Darrell and Laura Lee Bustin church partner, the Association of Baptist Church of Rwanda. development. He works both with pastors, as well as those studying to be pastors and church leaders. Laura Lee is responsible for overseeing the administrative details for the short- term mission teams that come to Rwanda. The Bustins joined CBM in 2002 to teach at the Kalimantan Theological Seminary in Pontianak, Indonesia, where they helped to train and mentor future leaders for the local church. Darrell is from Moncton, New Brunswick. Laura Lee is from Pugwash, Nova ce on Overseas Ministries 12

14 in January 2002, Darrell and Laura Lee felt that God was saying ministry that both have felt since childhood. The Bustins have two children, Bronwyn (now studying in Canada) and Caleb. Darrell assists Pastor Nathan Ndyamiyemenshi, the head of the Evangelism Department of the Rwandan Baptists (AEBR).
