6 Scripture: Luke 24: 1-12 Theme: Festival of the Resurrection Today starts Holy Week. In the Christian year, it is the week immediately before Easter. It is also the last week of Lent, and includes Palm Sunday, Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. We will celebrate Holy Week with three of these five traditions. See the back of today s bulletin for dates, times and more information about each of these events, and join us in these observances. You may have noticed that we are doing Easter a bit different this year with two completely different Easter morning worship experiences. Next Sunday at 7:30 a.m. we will gather in the South Commons for a shortened informal worship and communion service, followed by a continental breakfast. At 10 a.m. we will gather in the Sanctuary for a traditional Easter celebration with bells and the Festival Choir, and fellowship time following the worship service. All are welcome to join us at one or both of these worship services. Today is SCRIP Sunday! Cards ordered today will be delivered the next Sunday. Stop by the table in the Commons to make your purchase and help raise funds for our church. Food security is access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life. Food insecurity means that consistent access to adequate food is limited by a lack of money and other resources at times during the year. 1 in 10 Minnesotans, or more than 500,000 state residents, are food insecure on a regular basis. This is more people than attended Minnesota Vikings home games Next Sunday, March 27 Music: Festival Choir, Jubilation Ringers, Bells of Praise Easter, No Education Classes Announcements during the 2015 regular season. By donating food and cash to our Pack the P food drive, we can help alleviate some of those worries for people here in our neighborhood through our local food shelf at Neighbors Inc. If you d rather skip the grocery store, write a check for $10 (or more) and we ll do the shopping for you. Your donation of cash today will show up as food added to the display next week, along with any other food donations brought. Reminder: No adult education or Sunday school classes next Sunday. Mark your calendars! 17-voice InVocation singers will return to FPC-SSP on Saturday, April 9 at 7 pm to present a concert supporting Beacon Interfaith Housing Initiative, a collaborative of congregations ending homelessness through housing, shelter, and advocacy. Bring your friends, parents, and kids. Enjoy the music, and help end homelessness!
