10 If the Lord tarries, we intend, next Sunday to celebrate the take time during the week to prepare to receive the elements of bread and wine. Why prepare? Because Scripture warns us there is grave d and only then eat of the break and drink of the cup. For all 11:28-29). Likewise, there is great benefit if we come to the table prepared. The bread and wine are our spiritual food and drink and as followers of Jesus, replenishment in a barren and thirsty world. How do I prepare? Consider setting aside during the week a few moments for quiet time honestly to examine in what ways you have failed to live as by my harsh words and criticism? Have I failed to think about all things as His follower? Have I been more concerned about my own preferences, ideas and desires that the unity of the church? Have I treated the church as a sort of spiritual fast-food restaurant take what I want, when I want, but contribute little of my time and energy, threatening to take my business elsewhere if my favourites t on the menu? Have I acted out of anger toward failed to speak about Jesus to others when I had the opportunity? Honestly answering such questions will undoubtedly lead to confession. Be careful though! In this self-examination we must be neither supersensitive nor senseless. On the one hand, no one is completely worthy to commune. Holy Communion is not a reward for the perfect but a strengthening for sinners struggling for holiness. On the other hand, we should never presume to come to the Table as if we had no sin and needed no confession. 9

The document is intended as a guide for our future planning and ministry for pastors, deacons, and others in leadership want to know if there is a desire for further opportunity for discussion of whether most folk are largely content with the indicate your view by circling one of the options.
