I hope that you and your families are enjoying this wonderful celebration. There will not be any Religious Education Classes next weekend because of the Christmas and New Year s Celebrations. Classes will resume on January 3rd, I hope you all have a holy, happy and healthy holiday season. TELLING THE CHRISTMAS STORY Any of our young people grades K-5 are invited to participate in the re-telling of Christ s Birth at the 4:00PM Mass on December 24, 2015 at Riverside High School. You will need to attend 2 practices. The first practice will take place on Sunday, December 20th at Noon in the Church. Parts and costumes will be assigned during this practice. This practice should only take about an hour. The second practice will take place on Wednesday, December 23rd at Riverside at 6:00 PM. Thank you for all your help and participation in this activity. Confirmation Service Opportunity Confirmation students are needed to help with the younger children at the 4:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass. For these service hours you must be able to commit to both practices and also the 4:00 PM Mass on Christmas Eve. The collection amount at our parish was $1, For more information about your contribution visit There will be several confessors available this afternoon (12/20/15) to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation at 4:00 p.m. I hope to see many of you at our Christmas Concert and get-together at 7:00 p.m. (12/20/15). It is always a special evening during the Advent season. In proclaiming the Jubilee Year of Mercy a few days ago, Pope Francis exclaimed how much he desired this Jubilee Year to be steeped in mercy, so that we disciples might go out to everyone, bringing the balm of God s tender mercy both to believers and those far from faith, signaling that God s kingdom is already present among us. Because by Baptism and Eucharist we, like Mary, bear the living Christ within us, going out to serve others in self-sacrificing love is our best Christmas gift to all. May God bless you abundantly as we prepare to celebrate the birth of His Son, Jesus! Join the Divine Mercy Parish Music Ministry as they present their annual Christmas concert Sunday, December 20th! This year s concert is titled Breath of Heaven. The songs and narration of this show give a fresh perspective of Christmas by taking a closer look at the compassionate heart of Mary. Based upon the reflective hit Christmas song by Amy Grant, the dazzling arrangements and lyrics display Mary s posture of servanthood and what this means for us this season. The concert starts at 7:00PM in Church. Refreshments will follow in the Parish Hall.

All those interested in knitting or crocheting prayer shawls or lap robes, which will be given to those facing grief, illness or needing the loving hands of God surrounding them, are welcome to attend to the meeting. Job duties include general maintenance and repair work for the church, parish center, and rectory, set-up and clean-up of the parish hall before and after functions, and maintaining the parish grounds. Hours are to be determined. Some weekends and holidays required. Must be flexible. We are grateful to all who volunteer their time and talents for the betterment of our parish community.
