Religious Education / Life Long Faith Formation (Advent and Lent Bible Study) / Vacation Bible School / RCIA / Children s Liturgy of the Word...Brittain Banull DRE There will be no Religious Education classes next weekend in observance of Columbus Day. I hope that you enjoy this beautiful fall weekend. Our Halloween Mass will be held on Sunday, October 30th at. A children s party will follow immediately after the Mass in the Parish Center. More information will be available in the upcoming weeks. Religious Education Registration! The Religious Education Program is HERE! Thank you to all the parents who have already registered for the program. If you have a child in catholic school in 2nd, 7th or 8th grade who will be preparing for a sacrament please inform Brittain Banull at the Parish Office. Religious Education Help Needed!!! Our Religious Education program is in need of teachers and aides. Religious Education Classes for grades 3 & 5 run on Sundays from 9:00AM to 9:50AM for grade 1, 2 & 4 from 10:05AM to 10:55AM & grades 6, 7 & 8 from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. Attend The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults INQUIRY SESSION. RCIA is a process by which one is received into the Catholic Church (non-catholics) or completes the Sacraments of Initiation (Catholics) through faith development focusing on prayer, sacraments, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Who should attend the INQUIRY SESSIONS? Those adults (18+) who want to become Catholic and... have never been Baptized, or are Baptized, but not in the Catholic Church Those adults (18+) who were baptized in the Catholic Church and... never received first Communion and Confirmation, or never received Confirmation The date for the next INQUIRY SESSION is October 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM. We already have two Candidates who will be preparing for their Sacraments of Initiation. Please come and join us. Vincenzo James is the son of Enrico and Jena Dente Sposto and Olivia Cynthia is the daughter of James K. Renee Sposto. May the Lord bless these children and their families on this most special occasion. The Memorial of St. Francis of Assisi is celebrated on Tuesday of this week and is a customary day to bless animals. If you would like to have your animal blessed come by the courtyard area of the church at 5:00 p.m. Today is Respect Life Sunday, sponsored by the Bishop s Committee for Pro-Life activities. The observance emphasizes concern for all human life, especially that of the unborn, the elderly, persons with disabilities, the termillay ill, and others whose lives are easily threatened. For more information contact Betsy Walsh Diocesan Annual Appeal 2016 Care and Education of Priests: Answering God s call to a life of service to His people Our priests and deacons unconditionally answer the call to serve God s people meeting increasing needs throughout our Diocese. Contributions to the Annual Appeal fund ongoing formation of our priests, permanent deacons, seminarians and deacon candidates. These funds also help us care for and support our 96 retired or ill priests, many of whom continue to generously assist with the celebration of Masses, the visitation of the sick and by offering spiritual guidance to all in need. Appeal gifts also assist the Vocations Office, which has been blessed with encouraging growth, in guiding those who are considering priesthood through a comprehensive discernment process. We are grateful to currently have 11 seminarians pursuing the priesthood in the Diocese of Scranton. Your gift to the Annual Appeal directly supports the celebration of the Eucharist, men in clergy formation, proclamation of the Gospel, and administration of the Sacraments within our parish communities.

Thursday, October 20, 7-8:30 p.m. Reiki-Infused Yoga for Deep Healing This is a special class that weaves the healing properties of yoga and reiki a powerful form of working with energy. This class is a treat to those wishing to infuse themselves with loving, nurturing and compassionate energy. III. Thursday, November 17, 7-8:30 p.m. Yoga for Cultivating Gratitude Join us for a set of yoga and mindfulness based practices that allow us to bask in the blessing of gratitude. Tuesday, December 13, 7-8:45 p.m. Holiday Stress Management Workshop! Be your best self this holiday season! This class offers a series of strategies for managing stress throughout the holiday season. This class is a mixture of lecture, discussion, yoga, meditation and other tools/tips designed to promote peace and well-being. Instructor: Dr. Christine E. Kiesinger, ERYT 500. Dr. Kiesinger has been teaching yoga and meditation classes for twenty years. She is known for creating welcoming, inclusive classes that honor students at all levels.
