There will be a meeting in late May to wrap up our first year of the Confirmation Program. Please note the calendar below for specific information about our First Eucharist program. On Sunday, May 8th there will be a May Crowning after the 11:00 AM Mass. There will be refreshments served after the event. Please pray for a nice day and come and enjoy. First Eucharist Meeting If you missed the First Eucharist meeting on Thursday, February 18 th, please stop by during religious education office hours to pick up your packet. This packet will outline how you can help prepare your child for the Sacrament of Eucharist and explain the schedule for the remainder of the year. These dioceses are known as home missions. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal, which will take place this weekend in the second collection, supports these diocese by funding essential ministries, including seminary education and lay ministry training. Thank you for your generosity to this appeal which will definitely strengthen the Church at home. Next weekend a group of our young people will make their first Communion at a special Mass on Sunday at 1:00PM. In your prayers remember these children and their families on this most special occasion. May 8 is Mother s Day. As is our custom we will have a novena of Masses throughout the month of May offered for living and deceased mothers. There is an envelope in your packet for this purpose or obtain one on the table in the center vestibule. There is also a greeting card to send to your mother telling her of this special remembrance. This is certainly a great way to remember your mother on Mother s Day. Announcing the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis declared that the Church s credibility is completely dependent on our showing merciful and compassionate love. Mercy, says Pope Francis, reawakens everyone to new life and instills in all the courage to look to the future with hope. Have a great week! Parish Pastoral Council Nomination Week End We are searching for FOUR new Pastoral Council members to accept a three year term in this leadership ministry. Council meetings are held once a month on the second Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Leaving council this year will be Marge MacArt, Lois Fuller, Kathy Moceyunas and Ann Marie Cawley. Remaining members are Ariel Kavulich, Mary Theresa Montoro, Frank Alu, Chris Musso and Germaine Helcoski. Requirements to serve as a council member are: Be a baptized Catholic Be at least 18 years of age Be an active member of the parish We are looking for the following qualities and gifts: The nominee would be prayerful, faithful, collaborative, empowering, discerning and pastoral. Nominations will take place at all week end Masses (April 23 and 24) and ballots will be available at the parish office until close of business Monday May 2, 2016.

Kiesinger. Join us for three extraordinary opportunities to engage in gentle yoga, breathing and mindfulness mediation practices each designed to enhance your peace, relaxation and sense of renewal. Classes are open to all levels. No prior experience is needed. Classes are gentle and restorative. Please bring a yoga mat, a full body blanket and water. Dress comfortably in clothing that allows freedom of movement. Classes run approximately 75-minutes and are supported by use of Essential Oils and the very best in Sound Therapy. Classes are instructed by Dr. Christine E. Kiesinger. Dr. Kiesinger has been teaching yoga to all levels for nearly two decades. Her classes are comprehensive peaceinducing experiences rooted in safe, sound instruction and informed by best practices. Cost is $12 per class payable at the door.
