The meeting will be on Sunday March 26th at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center. You are required to attend this meeting. The First Eucharist meeting will outline how you can help prepare your child for the Sacrament of Eucharist and explain the schedule for the remainder of the year. First Communion Retreat The First Communion Retreat will be held on Saturday, March 25, It will begin at 10:00AM in the Parish Center and end at 2:00 PM. From the Desk of Father Pauselli Today the Church celebrates the first of three scrutinies with the Elect and their communities. The scriptures are chosen explicitly to help the Elect as they undergo their final preparations for the Easter sacraments. The baptized too can scrutinize their own lives today, following the example of the Elect in allowing our Lord to uncover and heal all that is weak and sinful in the way we live. Monday of this week the Church celebrates the Solemnity of St. Joseph. The next stop on the Road to Resurrection will be on Thursday, March 23 at St. Mary s Church on Chestnut Street, Dunmore at 7:00PM. The Stations of the Cross are prayed after the Mass on Friday (approximately 12:45PM) and at 5:30PM Friday night. The Light is on for You each Monday from 5:30PM to 7:00PM as an opportunity to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation. Each Friday during Lent lunch is served in our parish center immediately following the Stations of the Cross. Have a great week! Bambera, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office for Parish Life wish to invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 11. Class cost is $12. Call to reserve your spot! Class is open to ALL levels and is beginner-friendly. Dress comfortably. You must bring your own yoga mat. For your own safety, please bring a mat meant for yoga, not exercise. Yoga mats are sticky in nature and help us to stay stable on the floor. Also, please bring water and a warm blanket. Instructor: Dr. Christine E. Kiesinger, ERYT 500. Dr. Kiesinger has been teaching yoga and meditation classes for twenty years. She is known for creating welcoming, inclusive classes that honor students at all levels. Christine is a perpetual student, thus, her classes weave together deep yogic tradition with the latest studies/modalities/ techniques related to the effectiveness of a wide array of yoga and mindfulness based practices. WOMEN'S GUILD MEETING RESCHEDULED The meeting originally scheduled for last Wednesday was postponed to this week and will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Reports will be given on the Parish Breakfast, the upcoming Baby Shower being run on May 20 by the Outreach Committee, and a parish Picnic update. All Calendar Party table sponsors are asked to attend this meeting to discuss the set-up schedule and to make ticket returns. Hostesses for the evening will be Cathy Genovese, Dorothy Bouselli and Louise Pawlowski. The Baby Pantry is a free community service available to all families who need baby food, clothing (up to size 6), diapers and other baby items. The Baby Pantry needs your help. Divine Mercy will celebrate a Baby Shower in our parish center on Saturday, May 20th. You are invited to be a guest at this important Baby Shower. You can take part by bringing a new, unwrapped baby gift to the shower. Come and enjoy this fun celebration! Spend some time with friends enjoying great food and trying your luck at a basket raffle!
