Religious Education / Life Long Faith Formation (Advent and Lent Bible Study) / Vacation Bible School / RCIA / Children s Liturgy of the Word Religious Education Registration The Religious Education Program is just around the corner. Our primary goal is to always make our Religious Education Program a better and more faith-filled experience for your child. If you were in the Religious Education Program last year, registration forms will be mailed to you. Registration forms can also be picked up in the parish office during normal business hours or online at our parish website. Religious Education Classes will resume on Sunday, September 13, Religious Education Help Needed!!! Our Religious Education program is in need of teachers and aides. Religious Education Classes for grades 3 & 5 run on Sundays from 9:00AM to 9:50AM for grade 1, 2 & 4 from 10:05AM to 10:55AM & grades 6 & 7 from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. If you are interested in one of these teacher or aide positions please contact Brittain Banull at the Parish Office Catechist Meeting Returning Catechists and Aides are asked to attend a meeting on Thursday September 3rd at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. New or Interested Catechists and Aides are also invited to attend this meeting. Information about the Religious Education year will be discussed at the meeting. Please come and join us. The education of our parish youth depends on your help and support! From the Desk of Father Pauselli Congratulations to Gianna Marie Jarecki who will be baptized this weekend at Divine Mercy. Gianna is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer Musso Jarecki and was born on May 13, May the Lord bless Gianna Marie and her family on this most special occasion. Next week we will take up the Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. This collection supports Catholic organizations that provide affordable shelter and train seminarians in a region that still struggles from the effects of the Soviet rule. By providing pastoral care, catechesis, and funding for building renovations, your donations help to restore the Church and build the future in the region. Please give generously to the collection next week. Visit (search Church in Central and Eastern Europe ) to learn more. The children were lined up for snacks during religious education classes. At the head of the table was a large tray of apples. The teacher wrote a note and posted it on the apple tray: Take only One. God is watching. Moving along the snack line, at the other end was a large tray of chocolate chip cookies. A girl wrote this note, which she put next to the tray of cookies: Take all you want. God is watching the apples. By the way, now is the time to register for the Religious Education Program at Divine Mercy which begins on Sunday, September 13. Have a great week! The Office for Parish Life is currently accepting applications for and eager to invite new participants into the Diocesan Certificate for Lay Ministry process. We will offer an Orientation Retreat on Sunday, August 30 th from 1:00-7:00pm here at the Diocesan Pastoral Center. All interested candidates should contact Kitty Mac- Lean, Coordinator for Lay Ministry Formation ( ), to begin the application process by this date we can help you complete the process during and after the Orientation Retreat. MARIA FAUSTINA MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2015 A bus pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA will be celebrating the Feast Day of St. Faustina, observed on Monday, October 5, 2015 this year. The bus will leave for the Divine Mercy Shrine at 7:00 A.M. from the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary, 1880 Highway 315, Pittston, PA. Estimated arrival at the shrine is 11:00 A.M. All events will be at Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine. The cost is $63.00 per person and will include: bus trip, entrance fee into the Shrine, a full course dinner at Michael s Restaurant and the bus driver s tip. The itinerary includes: 11:00 A.M.
