GATHERING WELOME/ANNOUNEMENTS *ONFESSIONS AND FORGIVENESS In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of Jesus hrist, our Savior and Lord. Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Most merciful God, we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus hrist, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus hrist was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. There shall be a time of anguish, such as has never occurred since nations first came into existence. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book. 2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down. 3 When he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, eter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be accomplished? 5 Then Jesus began to say to them, Beware that no one leads you astray. 6 Many will come in my name and say, I am he! and they will lead many astray. 7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus hrist, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under ontius ilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. Accept these gifts and our prayer that, nurtured by your Word, filled with your Spirit, and fed at your table, we may share with gladness all that you have shared with us, until all creation is satisfied. *DIALOGUE *REFAE The Lord be with you. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen *SENDING OF OMMUNION Gracious God, loving all your family with a mother s tender care: As you sent the angel to feed Elijah with heavenly bread, assist those who set forth to 6

9 share your word and sacrament with those who are homebound. In your love and care, nourish and strengthen those who will receive this sacrament, and give us all the comfort of your abiding presence through the body and blood of your Son, Jesus hrist, our Lord. *RAYER FOR REVIVAL IN OUR MINISTRY ALL O God, you have called your people to be the Body of hrist in this community, and witnesses of your presence in the world. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Send down the fire of your love upon us, that we might draw others to you, as you have sent us to do. Anoint us with a deep compassion for those who do not know your love. Send revival on your church in this place, that all may come to experience the difference God s grace and love in hrist makes for all people and creation. We ask this in Jesus name. *BENEDITION Like children in the arms of Jesus, receive the blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord s face shine on you with grace and mercy.
