12 OUR CHURCH FAMILY Dirk Hollebeek underwent the necessary bone marrow transplant on Wednesday a day later than previously scheduled. Pray for good and effective results that Dirk will respond well and that he will be able to return home again soon. Paul Haverdink was admitted to Holland Hospital on Monday with pneumonia in both of his lungs. Pray for a full and speedy recovery for him as well. Gloria De La Garza was admitted to De Vos Children s Hospital fighting an infection. She must receive 1-2 weeks of IV antibiotics. Keep her and Jeannie and the family in prayer. Remember Ellen Walters that God gives strength and full recovery from the illnesses Ellen has endured. Continue to lift Don Cook up in prayer as he recovers now at home gaining strength and renewed health. Continue to remember Jett Ellerbroek and his family as they trust God to lead and guide them in the very difficult and challenging circumstances in which they find themselves. Pray for God s continued grace and mercy. Shar Mannes is scheduled for knee replacement surgery this Tuesday. Pray for a successful procedure and a full and speedy recovery for her. Remember Hugh Slenk as he offers his services with World Renew Disaster Response Service in North Carolina. He is scheduled to return home again on April 28. Pray for his safety and that God will bless the efforts of all those serving Him and others in that place. Rev. 13 CHURCH ANNOUCNEMENTS cont. The LADIES WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY will meet on April 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the Gathering Room to study Lessons #11 and #12 on Hebrews. This will conclude our study of Hebrews. After class the ladies will meet for lunch at Evergreen Commons. CHOIR will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening this week. DISCIPLER S BIBLE STUDY GROUP: The Early Morning Men s Group will meet on Thursday morning this week at 6:30 a.m. to discuss Hebrews Lesson #9. Contact Pastor Chad with any questions. Men s Refreshments: Don Klaasen FRIDAY PRAYER GROUP will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room in The Connection. SINGLE LADIES will enjoy dinner at Bob Evan s Restaurant on Thursday, April 19, at 5:00 p.m. The elders have interviewed the final candidate for the Associate Pastor Position and are recommending him at a SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING on April 23. More detailed information will be passed on to the congregation after that meeting. At this point the candidate is scheduled to preach on Sunday evening, April 29, with a townhall meeting following. The ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will take place on Monday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Agendas are in your mailboxes. Please contact a Council member or the appropriate committee chair with any questions in the meantime. COUNCIL MEETING will follow the congregational meeting that evening. Agenda deadline is TOMORROW, April 16. It is anticipated that over the months of April and May there will be information distributed to the congregation as well as special worship services and meetings pertaining to our search for an ASSOCIATE PASTOR.
