13 CPUCC exists to Listen, to Love, and to Restore Hope & Community to all God s Children. The Altar flowers are presented to the glory of God in honor of my children and grandchildren and with gratitude for the Church Statf by Liz August The Bulletins today are given to the Glory of God with gratitude for our Church Council by Liz August. Today the Remembrance Book is open to the pages acknowledging the gifts given in memory of Sarah Egenreider. Our sympathy is extended to Janet Hoffman & family following the death of her twin sister, Jean Shaffer. Please keep the Hoffman family in your prayers. Congratulations to Emily Mountain & Matt Boyce who were married yesterday at Hartman Center (where they met). We are promoting church family connections by sending cards for special occasions, illness or injury, and sympathy. Please sign your name or write a note on the cards on the table at the back of the Sanctuary. This week s cards: Janet Hoffman and Matt & Emily Mountain Boyce and Connie Herman following the death of husband, Bob. Joe & Jan Sleek express their thanks and sincere appreciation for all the cards, phone calls, flowers and, most importantly, prayers that we received during Joe's recent hospitalization. A sincere thank you for all of the kind words, prayers, cards and flowers received during the recent passing of my sister, Iona. It is times like these you realize just how special and important the church family is in your life. - Love, Norma Attention all Parents of Young Children! We love having children in worship! To facilitate children s attendance and participation, the first several pews on the left side of the sanctuary have been designated as a children s area, and include six age appropriate activity bags for infants-toddlers, children ages 2-4, and ages 5-8. If you prefer, the Church Nursery is available and staffed by two volunteers each service, for infants through pre-schoolers or early elementary children. Sign-ins for children are conducted in the preschool room in the hall beside the Sanctuary. The Refugee Team will be presenting an update of the project on Sunday, August 14 following church. All are welcome to be present. They will also be making plans for the next steps. FAITH DEVELOPMENT Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6pm for a book study based on "Weird Church" by Paul Nixon & Beth Ann Estock. TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! Bring your kids to Vacation Bible School tonight from 6-8pm. We will have a Kid s Musical entitled It s Cool in the Furnace. All kids aged 4 through 8 th grade are invited to participate beginning Sunday, August 7 thru Thursday August 11. Even if you haven t signed them up they are still welcome we ll sign them up when you get here!
