1 January 2018 Newsletter Trinity Lutheran Church 2018 Dates To Remember February 14 March 25 March 30 April 1 Ash Wednesday Palm Sunday Good Friday Easter Sunday Easter comes each year on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the Spring equinox (March 21). This is why Easter falls on a different date each year. Easter may fall as early as March 22, or as late as April Welcome 2018! A new year always brings with it new resolutions for many individuals. While keeping God first in our lives, it would be well to resolve to live by the Fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) every day of this year. If you choose this as your resolution, the following steps will help guide you on your way: Choose love I will love God and all that God loves. Choose joy I will recognize all people as human beings created by God. Choose peace I will live forgiven, and I will live to forgive. Choose patience I will not complain that the wait is too long. I will thank God for a moment to pray. Choose kindness I will be kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me. Choose goodness I will confess before I accuse. Choose faithfulness I will keep my promises. Choose gentleness If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. Choose self-control I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I will be impassioned only by my faith. To these Fruits of the Holy Spirit, I commit my resolution. If I succeed, I will give thankfulness to God. If I fail, I will seek God's grace.

It is intended to make things easier for the family of the deceased by making wishes known and other important information needed at a very stressful time. There will be copies available on the table in the narthex. Samples will be posted in various locations. FOOD BASKET Trinity provided 15 food baskets plus a ham for each basket for Salvation Army to distribute for Christmas Thanks to all who contributed.
