Joining us in January are Pastor Jim Bornzin from Silverton, Pastor Mike Ostrum, from Luther House in Corvallis, and Chaplin Wes Sedlack, Chaplin for Albany General Hospital. 3 It s a Girl! Mary Rose Bringman was born via c-section Friday morning, December 22 around 1:30am. Mary weighed in at 9lb 3oz and is doing great. Mark and Vanessa are so excited to meet her. Many blessings to them. New Baby and Pastoral Leave At the meeting on August 9th, the Faith Lutheran Church council approved a family leave policy. The policy states that full time employees would receive 2 weeks of paid leave and could take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave. Pastor Mark will be taking leave until March of During this time, arrangements are made for pulpit supply from a few pastors. For pastoral emergencies we can contact Pastor Laura O Brien of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rite of Installation On Sunday, January 21st at 3:00 pm, Pastor Mike Ostrom will be officially installed as pastor at Luther House. The service will feature the beautiful Holden Evening Prayer liturgy, gifts of students, and worship leadership by Oregon Synod staff. A special offering will be collected to support the ministry of Luther Tickets are on sale now! Lutherfest will be on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2:00pm- 4:30pm at the Boulder Falls Center in Lebanon, Oregon; the doors will open at 1:30pm. Come early to socialize and have your picture taken in the Lutherfest Biergarten.
