Annual Thanksgiving Boxes For many years, Claremont UMC has generously provided Thanksgiving dinners for families in need in our community by filling boxes with all of the ingredients to make a Thanksgiving dinner along with a $25.00 Stater Bros. gift card. These boxes are then distributed to families through the Beta Center. This year we are going BOLD with a goal of 100 boxes! You may pick up your box and shopping list in the Narthex TODAY, October 28 and NEXT Sunday, November 4. Return boxes to the Narthex anytime, but NO LATER than Sunday, November 11. If you are unable to shop or would just prefer not to shop, we will do it for you. The cost to fill a box is about $ Just let us know on the day you sign up. Today the class begins the study of Public Faith in Action: How to Think Carefully, Engage Wisely and Vote with Integrity by Miroslav Volf and Ryan McAnnally- Linz. 13 Life Goes On: a new small group Part of the human experience is facing death, dealing with loss, and working our way through grief that can, at times, threaten to overwhelm us. We need the comfort and support of our community. With this group, we hope to respond to the needs you or others may have for this kind of support, comfort, and objective information. For Fall 2018, Life Goes On meets again: Sunday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Round Building If you would like to be part of Life Goes On or if you d like more information, please contact Rev. 14 United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Responds to Hurricanes in the Southeast United States and Typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines As many storms threaten different areas around the world, UMCOR and its partners prepare to respond. Please pray for the areas affected and consider a gift to UMCOR Disaster Response. 100% of your gifts go directly to relief efforts in these areas. Any little bit helps, even if you are only able to bring one or two items. We are SO grateful for your generosity helping the hungry! Share the Gift of Hospitality on Sundays: Please consider greeting before worship, or hosting coffee fellowship following worship. All you need bring is your wonderful self!
