2 The Roundup Pastor s Corner Summer is upon us! We all know how busy summer is in general. For church summer is a busy time with Vacation Bible School, camps for youth and kids, vacations, special events and holidays. We hope you will gather each Sunday with us for worship and Bible study as we seek to grow in faith together. May this time be a time where we can grow closer to God and also to one another as many of us will be spending time with family and friends during the summer season. Blessings, Derik Notes From Susie Summer Singing Summer is not a quiet time for the music ministry at RMBC. In fact, this might be the very time for you to get involved in choir. We have just received our music for the Union Music service which will be August 27th at Madison Heights Baptist. Join us in rehearsal on Wednesdays as we learn this beautiful mix of contemporary and traditional music. Music Campers.selections for classes will be online this week. I ll be in touch to help you make your selections! 3 Volume 62, Issue 6 Notes of Thanks Your kindness means the world to us. The flower was beautiful and we so appreciate your thoughts and prayers during our bereavement. Thank you, Tom and Betty Mabe To Randolph Memorial Baptist Church s Women on Mission: Thank you for your kindness. The food was delicious! Many nice compliments came back from our guests. Neighbors Helping Neighbors Randolph Memorial Church: Thank you for your kindness in remembering Jimmy with your donation. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are much appreciated, and may God bless you. With Love, The Maines Family Randolph Memorial Friends, Thank you everyone for all the kindness you have showed to us during Jonah s illness. The cards, calls, flowers, food, water and visits. It means so much to us Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Love, Jonah and Kathleen Chapman We would like to thank you all for the support, prayers, gifts, flowers and well wishes for the birth of Grady. We are beyond blessed to call you our church family. What an awesome group of people. We are excited to watch him grow his faith in RMBC with your help. Again from the bottoms of our hearts thank you!! Sincerely, Nena & Shannon Middleton To my RMBC family, as I "close up shop" and prepare for a new chapter in my life, please know how precious a memory you will always be to me and my family. Way back in 2000, you took a chance on an aspiring counselor and let me start a practice in your church. The rest is history. You have encouraged me, affirmed me, helped me grow. And being your interim pastor only drew us closer. I have such fond memories, some happy, some sad. We grew together and the time flew by. Then, two years ago, when my job at Centra went away, this church was my "landing place" again. You have been more than gracious to me and my family; you believed in me. You trusted me. You made me a part of you and you have made my journey so much richer. Randolph Memorial Baptist Church is a strong, cohesive, loving fellowship with a rich history and a bright future. Thank you for making me a part of that. You will always be in my prayers. "I thank God upon my every remembrance of you" (Philippians 1:3). Mark Beck PS: My new address is: 9218 Point O Woods Dr. Inverness FL My cell phone and address will remain the same. From the Blue Ridge Mountains, to the State of Sunshine, Side by Side or miles apart, We will always be connected by Heart! Page 3
