Lost-and-found is in labeled compartments in the mailroom off the Delancey lobby. TODAY S EVENTS We celebrate communion at morning worship services today. Gluten-free bread is in a separate dish in the center of each communion tray. Members, please use record your participation on the goldenrod slip of paper. Following communion, the Deacons offering will be taken to help those in our church who have difficult financial circumstances. Coffee is available in the lobby at 1710 before 9 AM Bible School classes. A women s prayer group is meeting during the summer each Sunday at 9:00 AM, 1716 Spruce, 1 Middle. Please join them for a devotional time around the Word and then prayer for church ministries. Internationals Outreach is meeting for worship on Sundays at 11 AM in 1710 Spruce Street, large conference room, until the new carpet for Fellowship Hall is installed. Wide Open World, the Global Outreach program for kids, runs through July and August. Kids four years old through 6th grade are welcome to join us Sunday evenings at 6:15 PM for singing, crafts, games, and presentations about what God is doing in the world. UPCOMING EVENTS The church office is closed on Fridays in August and on September 7. The deadline for bulletin announcements is Tuesday noon, as usual. Tenth Business Network meets next Sunday, August 12, at 9 AM in 1716 Spruce, second floor rear. Join them as they discuss Chapter 17 of The Call. Attendees are asked to review the questions for each chapter before each meeting as this is a good launch pad to interesting discussion. Since January, 11 new babies have come to our nursery. Additionally, Tenth s teens, a critical part of nursery staff, are away on Maranatha missions trips. The Family Life Commission is preparing for a fall quarter Sunday class on parenting and would like input from parents as to the topics of most interest. Parents, please stop by the nursery desk and complete the brief questionnaire there. A great way to make a new friend is to work alongside someone. Make new friends by getting involved. The birth of twin daughters, Eleanor Rose and Lucy Linnea, to former employees Luke and Elizabeth Carlson on July 30 in Branson, Missouri. The girls are in neonatal intensive care in Springfield. Pray for God s blessing on their care and development. The marriage of Erica Johns and Chase Freeman on July 28 at Tenth. The marriage of Kelsey DeBruyne and Carter Skeel at Tenth on August 4. PRAY FOR Elaine Swyer and other family and friends of Bill Swyer as they grieve his death. He died July 29. Cheryl Brubaker s brother as he is treated for significant blood clots. 7 PARKING AND CHILDREN S CLASSES PARKING Sunday street parking information is at tenth.org/ parking (where you will find all parking details) and on the 2018 parking placard available in the lobbies. Always check at tenth.org for any event parking information, whatever the day of the week. When using street parking on Spruce and Pine, please remember to use your mirrors and watch for bikers in the bike lane as you pull in and as you open your doors. Parking in the Liberty Place garage is free Sundays only. You will need to pick up chaser tickets in Reception Hall immediately after services (near water fountain after morning services, at nursery desk after evening services) you must show your garage ticket to receive one. Please park at Liberty to free up the streets for neighbors, bikers, and those with mobility issues. The garage has entrances between Market and Chestnut Streets on both 16th and 17th Streets. Available Sundays only, if you use the EZ Park lot at 17th and Pine, you must validate your ticket with an EZ Park rubber stamp they have provided in order to get the reduced rate printed on the stamp (note three-hour limit). Stamps clearly marked EZ Park are in the Narthex and at the Delancey lobby desk. The discounted parking rate at the Penn Garage (1700 South Street) for churches is $6.
