You might leave encouraged refreshed or even a changed person. Whatever it is you need, God can provide and He wants to. That s why He brought you here today. And we hope He brings you back time and time again. Because we would love for you to become part of the family here at Asbury!

If you have not yet purchased a journal, some are still available at the Guest Services desks and the main office for $5.00. Come join 2nd Saturday April 9 Go out into Tulsa with a community of individuals who have a joyful heart for serving! Meet at the Venue at 8:15 am, and you ll be back by noon. Serving opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Bring friends and family! Current Sermon Series April 3 -The thing the disciples least expected was for Jesus to rise from the dead they had no context for this in their experience. He appeared to them transformed, yet recognizable almost ordinary (a physical body that could be mistaken for a gardener, but one that could pass through doors, etc.). An empty tomb and eye-witness accounts confirm it was not a vision, or spiritual experience or delusion it was something new.

4 Notes: Consider this: On the one hand, Jesus rebuked Peter: You of little faith...why did you doubt? (Matthew 14:31). James (2:6) reiterated that point, saying that someone who doubts is like a wave in the sea (unstable). On the other hand, Jesus didn t smash doubting Thomas. And Jude 22 (there s only one chapter in the Book of Jude) has only six words to it: Be merciful to those who doubt. Just as we all have doubts, we also all need mercy. We need lots of help in both.

5 Next Steps to Joining Asbury 1. Attend a Joining Asbury luncheon. If you are interested in joining Asbury or finding out more about us, please plan to attend one of the Joining Asbury luncheons held monthly. At the luncheon, you will meet the pastors, find out more about Asbury s vision and hear about worship, growth and influence opportunities that are available to you. Luncheons will take place on the following dates from 12:15 2:15 pm. Today, Parlor. Walk-ins are welcome. May 1, Parlor Lunch is provided, and child care is available for 6 weeks to 6th grade. Call or register online at myasburytulsa.org. Walk-ins are welcome. 2. Visit with a pastor. After you attend the Joining Asbury luncheon, visit with a pastor. Signup sheets are available at the luncheon. 3. Schedule to join. Join on New Member Sunday, which is normally the second Sunday of each month. Log on to myasburytulsa.org. Myasburytulsa.org is a convenient tool that provides the congregation with easy access to event registration, communities, online giving and preferred communication interests within all areas of Asbury United Methodist Church.
