Accepted dona ons: Gently used or new toys, books, games, movies (dvds only) puzzles, bikes/ride-ons, cra items (excluding used crayons/markers), Ba eries (all sizes), wrapping paper, masking and/or packing tape, Transparent tape. (please no stuffed animals unless they are brand new) Monetary dona ons will also be accepted. The money will help us to purchase gi s for older aged children. Please make any checks out to CUMC with Project Toy box in note area and on envelope; cash can be put in envelope. All monetary dona ons can be given to Tricia Henise; church secretary; or in the offertory plate with Project Toybox on envelope. If possible please clean toys and mark them clean What is Project Toy Box? Project Toy Box is a toy outreach ministry hosted by Christ United Methodist Church, Yorkana. This ministry targets families experiencing financial difficul es during the Christmas season. Although presents are o en associated with the commercialism of Christmas, our mission is to help families unwrap the love of Jesus Christ in the gi s received through this ministry during their me of need. 9 CHRISTMAS CANDY: Orders must be turned in to Diana Thoman by TODAY Dec. 2nd. Pick up of candy orders will be Sunday, Dec. 16th. Late orders cannot be guaranteed to be available. Extra candy will be made and sold on a first come first served basis. Please prepay with order if possible to help with cost of supplies. Orders must be checked before they leave the church. Come and hear the combined choirs of Ironville UM and Christ UM Church of Yorkana as we present the Christmas Cantata Come Let Us Adore on December 16th, 10:30a.m. This Christmas, we return to the scene of a humble manger where the great Light of the world was born. We join with the shepherds and angels-in awe of God s love come to earth. Amidst the noise and distractions, we still our hearts as we bow before Him and worship the one true King. Join us as we lift up choruses of worship and relive the miraculous story of Christ s birth. Don t forget, that there isn t 8am Traditional worship or 10:30am Contemporary Worship on this day.

10 TONIGHT! DECEMBER 2ND 7PM Young and young at heart will enjoy this retelling of the Christmas Story! Along with the children of Christ Church the Faithful Messenger Puppet/Drama team will be performing 2 blacklight songs. New this year, puppet team grades 1-5 will perform their very own blacklight Christmas song. Invite your family and friends! We will be collecting new hats, gloves, socks, and underwear for children during the program. They will be distributed to children in the area, please feel free to take if you know of a child who is in need. A Cookie Social will be immediately following the program, please bring a dessert/snack to share. YOUTH REMINDER!! There is NO Youth tonight. Many of you are helping with the Children's Program (Thank You!), and many of you have younger siblings that are in the Program, so you have to be here anyway! Enjoy the evening. Next week there will be Youth from 6-8 pm, and the Youth Christmas Party will be on the 16th, from 6-8 pm

11 CHRISTMAS CARD GIVING: You are given the opportunity to send Christmas card greetings and well wishes to friends and family here at Christ Church. You may choose both or one of the following: 1) The Heaven s Helpers Sunday School Class will be collecting and sorting cards on Sunday, December 9th. For a timely delivery, no cards will be accepted after this date. Thank you. Please be sure to place your cards in alphabetical order and secure with rubber bands. Boxes are available for placement of your cards. Class members will be delivering cards to all those that are at the Brunswick. 2) The CHRISTMAS CARD GIVING TREE (located in the Welcome Area) will send well wishes of the season to all by placing one card per family on the tree; the money you save from the purchase of cards, may be placed as an offering to help a family in need or to support a ministry, etc. Christ Church will identify the area of need and make you aware of where your money has been placed. Each Sunday School class please prepare something to share with the group. Bring cookies or a snack to share.
