Our mission is To provide meaningful worship, Bible teaching, evangelistic outreach, and Christian fellowship. For these ministries to take place, the people who are Christ Church must have servant hearts, striving to do God s will and not our own. If you would like to have a prayer concern lifted up during worship, please complete a Prayer Request on the Connection Card found in the bulletin and place in the offering plate. Your request will be printed in the bulletin the following week. Sunday School Christ Church offers classes for all ages beginning at 9:00 A.M. Our greeters will gladly inform and direct you to the class that suits your needs. Nursery Care Provided Nursery: (infants through age 5) Well supervised nursery care with volunteer helpers is provided during the 10:30 a.m. Worship hour. Please ask for directions to the appropriate room(s). The Welcome Table Located to the rear of the sanctuary and in the courtyard. The information table is the area where we offer sign up sheets for events in the church and local community, visitor information and a suggestion box. 8 BASIC TRAINING FOR FOLLOWERS OF JESUS week 6 service For 6 weeks we will train to become strong soldiers for the Lord! Each week will be a different focus: WEEK 1: ENLISTMENT PREPARE FOR SPIRITUAL BATTLE WEEK 2: PRAYER WEEK 3: SCRIPTURE WEEK 4: MEDITATE WEEK 5: WORSHIP WEEK 6: SERVICE Use your Training Manual this morning to take sermon notes Go to the Courtyard and recite last week s scripture and receive a prize! Use the Connection Card in the bulletin to respond to this week s sermon with your next action step Call to Action Challenge for week 6 Congratulations! You have 1 more week of log book entries and then you have graduated from Basic Training! Have you changed? Have you applied some of the principles into your daily life? We pray you have. This week s challenge is to share what has been happening these past six weeks with someone and what being a follower of Jesus means to you. 9

FEBRUARY FLOWER/CANDY DELIVERY To help offset the costs of the upcoming Ladies Retreat, we are asking for your participation in our Valentine fundraiser. We would like to deliver candy and / or flower (s) to a special person of your choice during the month of February. We will be accepting orders to deliver candy/flower(s) the following Sunday. A note card will be available for you to personalize your delivery and the cost is $1.50/carnation - $2.25/rose - $1.50/candy bar If the person you are sending a flower(s) to is not at Sunday School the following week when we deliver We will make every attempt to see that they receive their flower/card from you the following week. We have been very lucky that the flowers have kept very well in order for us to deliver. If it is a candy bar that you are sending and they are not in Sunday School we will put it in the refrigerator with their name on it and try to redeliver it the following week. We will be doing the bulk of our sales by orders, but we will have some limited items for same day cash and carry. If you have any questions/concerns/ideas please call Alice Staats Thank you! 10
