I certainly wondered if we would have enough parking at all on Easter. So I want to start you thinking about the future, and what we might think about doing as a church. We are close to the time when we can think of paying off the new sanctuary. We are right at about $200, left on the mortgage. So that means if you want to know that you helped pay for the new sanctuary, you will want to make a donation to the building fund so that you know you are worshipping in a place that you helped pay for with your generous gift out of what God has given you. We currently have 73 parking spaces so I want you to begin praying about whether you could see us needing a new parking lot. Where would you think it would be wise for us to put additional spaces? Would you like to see a canopy added? Would parking off of Boyd give us the feel of a front entrance and be more visible for guests, or visitors? These are just a few of the questions that the trustees will begin helping us consider as we look toward the future. See you for dinner to help Respite Care. Respite Care has two fundraisers each year and this dinner is one of them. Please buy a ticket to support this ministry. It is a dinner, concert and auction. Respite Care depends on our faithfulness to help them raise funds. See you on Mother s Day for worship; we have gifts for all the moms. In order to make this VBS a success, we need volunteers. There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex beginning on April 30 th High School Graduates Max Brenneman Ben Peyton Mason Rossiter RayJon Stewart We will have a reception to honor our graduates on May 7 th between the services in Fellowship Hall College Graduates Montana Garrison will be graduating from Emporia State University on May 13th, She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an Emphasis in Mathematics. After graduation she will move to the Kansas City area and begin a job at Piper High School in the fall. Hugh McConnell will be graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point majoring in Environmental Science. He will also receive his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. Hugh will begin his active duty at the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course located at Fort Benning, Georgia. Trinity Heights In Mission Our Trinity Heights Mission Committee recently used some of their foundation funds to help support some of our congregation members who are going to be in mission this summer or are working on a local mission project. Those Trinity Heights has supported are: Katie Brenneman - India / Student Mobilization Dr. Pam McCullough - Kansas Mission of Mercy Ann Walker - China Darla Wilken - New Hope Project Everyone at Trinity Heights is a part of these missions because of your gifts to our foundation. This is your money helping others around the world and at home.

Your help is greatly appreciated. You Are Invited To Come Meet Our New Trinity Heights Babies On Sunday, June 11, at 2:00pm In Fellowship Hall! Jayson & Lauren Artaz and Justin & Megan Zielke are the proud parents of these brand new additions to our church family, Landon and Jaxon. Both families have requested that in lieu of gifts a monetary donation be given to a family with a new baby who are in need of support. This family is experiencing numerous challenges and needs support during this critical time. They have come to the church s attention through Care Portal. You are encouraged to bring a parenting prayer to be placed in containers for our Artaz and Zielke families for those special moments when a pause and reflection give respite from busy and hectic schedules. Thank you and thanks to the Artaz and Zielke families for requesting that WE PAY IT FORWARD! WOW! I get to meet my church family!

Elizabeth Circle will meet Monday, May 8, at 6:30 pm, in Dee Schroeder s home. Martha Circle will meet on Wed, May 17, at 9:30 am at the church.

We all get to know each other better during these times. After May, Circles will start up again in Sept. In June we will have our Annual Meeting on Sat, June 10 at 9:00 am Water s Edge Restaurant.

On Sun, June 11 from 3 6 pm we will study the book Climate Justice, A Call to Hope and Action, edited by Pat Watkins.

Please come, even if you haven t had a chance to read the book. Hope to see many of you at our upcoming activities.

May is the last month the circles meet until Fall. We take the summer months off. At our May meetings we will be nominating the Unit officers for the Fall/Winter/Spring session. Elizabeth Circle will meet Monday, May 8, at 6:30 pm, in Dee Schroeder s home. Martha Circle will meet on Wed, May 17, at 9:30 am at the church. Both these groups give our members a chance to get together for fellowship, snacks, a program and info from the Response magazine and the Prayer Calendar. We all get to know each other better during these times. After May, Circles will start up again in Sept. In June we will have our Annual Meeting on Sat, June 10 at 9:00 am Water s Edge Restaurant. We will enjoy a wonderful meal, install our new officers, and enjoy the fellowship. Also on that weekend we will have our book study. This book is a collection of many articles by different authors about what is happening to our earth. It should be interesting and enlightening for all of us. President, Judy Rittgers Parkinson's Disease Support Group, North Newton Parkinson's Disease patients and caregivers meet the first Tuesdays each month, 2 p.m. Kidron Bethel Village is the host for this hour-long gathering, presentation, and discussion. For more information, contact Jim or Susie Wickiser The next meetings: May 2, June 6. Youthville/ EmberHope Thank you for donations of yarn and snacks for the teenage girls at both cottages. These teens are away from home, family, and friends, so your special support is a nice surprise and a blessings.
