Glenrowan CONTACT The next Drop In will be on Wed Oct 17 th at 2pm. Drought Relief Thank you everyone for your participation and contribution. PARISH FETE - 1 Week to go!!!! It s not too late for Trash n Treasure, the spinning wheel, small items for children s lucky dip. Please remember this is a Plastic Free Fete, and bring your own bags along. Boomerang Bags hope to be there so you can stock up on fabric bags. 6.30am Saturday is the start time for setting up, to be ready for business at 8.00am. Please consider offering a few hours to help out. Packing up time is just as important as setting up, so if you can t help early, maybe you can help with packing up. Anyone requiring goods to be picked up, please call Laurie/Lyn Johnston on to arrange a time. Pick ups will be done on the last week, before fete, ie Monday 15 th Oct - Friday 19 th Oct. Thank you. The Scratchies raffle will be held again this year and cash donations would be greatly appreciated. Please speak to Glad. Parish Annual General Meeting 18 th November Please note this will be the only service in the parish. Please ensure that reports from all centres and organisations are handed/ ed/carrier pigeoned to the Parish Office or Margaret Gibson by 21 st October at the latest. Cup Day luncheon November 6 th Please indicate to Margaret or Trish if you wish to attend again this year. My dear People of WWW I am sure that we are all excited about the Fete next week as it provides a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and interaction. Please come, spread the word and invite others to come along with you. As our Parish Notice Page is full, I would like to bring the following Diocesan activities to your attention: Evensong & Installation of Canons: This will take place at the Cathedral on Sunday, 21 October at 6pm. It will be a wonderful service and we are all invited to attend but would like a RSVP to Fr. Paul so that he can give totals to Jane at the Cathedral Office or you may do so yourself. Jazz Mass: Will take place at the Cathedral on 4 November. Please make a note in your diary. The Dean has invited me to preach Lay Invigoration Day: Originally scheduled for 10 November as per the advert ion the Advocate but has now been postponed until 23 Feb Bishop s 10 th Anniversary Service: Please keep this date available for the 10 th celebration Service of Bishop John as the Bishop of Wangaratta. More details will follow but as we have an initial 20 invites available, please hand in your name to Margaret
