Family Night Out Much of our energy around Sunday School has joined forces Midweek Bible Teaching and New Community Living Conversations to provide many ministry options for adults at a central time in the middle of the week. Kicked off with a fabulous dinner and pairing Cadets, Madison Girls, Kids Praise Dance, and Child Care for infants through 1st graders we offer you: FAMILY NIGHT OUT! See you Wednesday for dinner from 5:30-6:30 pm. Check the rest of the schedule in the calendar listing above. Look for the Scarlet Thread Sermon Series: Jan. 5-March 2 There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories are telling one big Story: the Story of how God loves his children and comes to rescue them. (Jesus Storybook Bible, pg. 17) Our fall sermon series takes us into the Old Testament stories starting creation of the world through the exodus from Egypt. Notice the sermon series image and the scarlet cord that weaves its way through it. Every Old Testament story points to the need for a savior, a deliverer. This deliverer is Jesus and the scarlet thread represents the shedding of his blood, tying the Old Testament to the New Testament. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Our Mission We are called by God the Father and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be transformed by Christ for: Reaching Up! Glorifying God through lives of prayer and worship Reaching In! Growing Spiritually through Biblical learning and caring relationships Reaching Across! Reconciling in Christ for multicultural living and leading Reaching Out! Going near and far to share Christ s love in actions and words Freedom in Christ To learn more about being free in Christ, please pick up a brochure from the Welcome Center or contact us at freedom@madisonsquarechurch.org or Thank God for RACING STRIPES!
