Every Old Testament story points to the need for a savior, a deliverer. This deliverer is Jesus and the scarlet thread represents the shedding of his blood, tying the Old Testament to the New Testament. We are in the last quarter of our sermon series based on the Jesus Storybook Bible. When completed, our walk through the Bible will have taken us from creation and the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1 and 2 to the new creation the Holy City, the new Jerusalem in Revelation We will end this year-long series with a Jesus Storybook Bible Celebration on Sunday, July 27. For this final part of our series, we ask that you commit to memory Colossians 1:15-19, for He (God) is before all things and in him all things hold together.
