Women and young ladies, men and young men, see below (you don t have to be a father or mother, and both parent and child don t have to be involved). Flyers are at the Welcome Center. Mother s Day: Sunday, May 14 at both services. Informational meeting Friday March 24, 6-7:30 pm, then Tuesdays April 11-May 9, 6-8 pm, and Saturday May 13 from 9-10 am, all in the Sanctuary. Father s Day: Sunday, June 18 at both services. Rehearsals: Wednesdays May 31-June 14, 6-8:30 pm, and Saturday June 17, am, all in the Sanctuary. Contact: Kia Delaney at kiap6504@gmail.com. Lenten Reflections During services in Lent we will highlight an event in the last week of Jesus earthly life, led by Liza Kauffman. During each reflection, consider God's rescue plan: God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him. This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven. - 1 John 4:9-10. Lenten Coloring Book Lent is a season for reflection on Jesus journey to the cross. Coloring Books are available free at the Welcome Center and the front of the sanctuary for you to use as a reflection tool. The images complement the stations of the cross banners on our sanctuary walls. Read, reflect, sing, write, color, or draw as you journey to the cross with Jesus. Images drawn by Madison artist Liz Kramer; Scripture and quotes compiled by Audrey Laninga and Mary Sytsma. 5 Stand Up Class for Children at the Ford At Madison at the Ford, we celebrate Stand Up Sundays, where people of all ages are able to publically profess their faith. These Sundays are a culmination of a process of teaching and disciplining with mentors in the church, where those who are looking to make this step are poured into and challenged to think through their calling and relationship with God. A four week Stand Up class for children who wish to make this step will be offered this spring. This class will be held on Sundays after the morning service and will use Scripture and the Heidelberg catechism to study our identity in Christ as well as Spiritual disciplines. During the final class, children will be given the opportunity to meet with elders from the church to have conversations about faith and to learn from the wisdom the elders have from years of walking out their own faith journeys. If you are a parent of a child who is ready to make this step or if you have questions about this class, please contact Joanna DeMoor-Tannor at jdemoor@madisonsquarechurch.org. Sunday Morning Children's Ministries at the Ford Children PreK through 5th grade will be released for Children's church classes part way through the service. Nursery is available for babies and toddlers under PreK age throughout the service, and is located next to the Welcome desk/children's Ministry check in area. Parents, please make sure that your children birth through 5th grade have been checked in on the computers at the Welcome desk before they attend children's ministries.
