Family Night Out Much of our energy around Sunday School has joined forces Midweek Bible Teaching and New Community Living Conversations to provide many ministry options for adults at a central time in the middle of the week. Kicked off with a fabulous dinner and pairing Cadets, Madison Girls, Kids Praise Dance, and Child Care for infants through 1st graders we offer you: FAMILY NIGHT OUT! See you Wednesday for dinner from 5:30-6:30 pm. Check the rest of the schedule in the calendar listing above. Look for the Scarlet Thread Sermon Series: Jan. 5-March 2 There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories are telling one big Story: The story of how God loves his children and comes to rescue them. (Jesus Storybook Bible, pg. 17) In our winter sermon series we will continue our study of Old Testament stories starting with Joshua and the battle of Jericho and ending with God's people returning from being slaves. Notice the sermon series image and the scarlet cord that weaves its way through it. Every Old Testament story points to the need for a Savior, a deliverer. This deliverer is Jesus and the scarlet thread represents the shedding of his blood, tying the Old Testament to the New Testament. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). Our Mission We are called by God the Father and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be transformed by Christ for: Reaching Up! Glorifying God through lives of prayer and worship Reaching In! Growing Spiritually through Biblical learning and caring relationships Reaching Across! Reconciling in Christ for multicultural living and leading Reaching Out! Madison, as a whole, is a multisite church and I serve as Campus Pastor for the body of Christ that meets at the Gerald R. Ford Middle School. We re called to listen and serve the needs of the school, community, and church body. My passion is to fan into flame gifts-based and team-based vision, ministry, and evangelism! In 2012, I was commissioned as a preaching apprentice under the leadership of Pastor Brad and Pastor David Beelen, Madison s Lead Pastor. I am passionate about sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing hope to the lost and hurting. I consider it an honor to do that as a preaching apprentice at the Ford Campus. Sean Johnson-Moore ext. 233 Reaching OUT Director sjohnson@madisonsquarechurch.org I have a deep love for Jesus Christ and a heart for community. I love the gospel and advancing the kingdom of God is my primary purpose. I have lived in Madison s neighborhood my whole life and my passion is to see lives changed locally and leaders from the community built up and transformed. I am also a writer and I love hip-hop culture. My mission is to utilize hip-hop as a vehicle to communicate the hope of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Doug Roede! We thank Doug for the way he humbly served the Ford Campus as Reaching In Director and we celebrate with him as he obediently steps into a new season of ministry. We are also grateful for all the time and care he put into crafting and sending out the weekly Ford s, among the many other responsibilities he had. Thank you, Doug!
