Dear Parishioners: I would like to thank A.J. Connelly, his assistant Matt Steimle and the Connelly family for the many hours and material investment they sacrificed to renovate our Church bathrooms. A.J. chose this project as his Eagle Scout Project. Here is a list of what was done: 1. New walls 2. New Paint 3. New Toilets 4. New Plumbing 5. New Tile Floors and sub-flooring 6. New Air ventilators 4 times stronger than previous existing ventilators 7. New Art on walls 8. New Ceiling tiles 9. Addition of wash stands and an addition of reserved toiletries In addition, the Church renovated the Cry Room with new tile flooring and carpeting, including the hall way leading to the vestibule. Añadieron un lugar donde uno puede guardar papeles para el baño Adicional a esto, la Iglesia renovó el Cuarto de los Niños con un piso nuevo y alfombra, incluyendo el pasillo que conecta con el vestíbulo. 4 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time 4 25th WORLD DAY OF THE ST.BEDE Amazement at what God has accomplished: The Almighty has done great things for me. (Lk 1:49). St. Bede Parish will celebrate the 25th World Day of the Sick on Saturday, February 11th at the 5pm Vigil Mass. We will have a Mass for Our Lady of Lourdes with the Sacrament of Holy Anointing for all parishioners who are elderly, have been chronically ill, or are suffering from chronic depression, or are going to have surgery soon. We will anoint these parishioners at the 5pm Mass after the homily. 25 Día Mundial del Enfermo El Poderoso ha hecho obras grandes por mí (Lc 1,49) La Parroquia de San Bede va a celebrar el 25 Día Mundial del Enfermo el sábado, 11 de febrero a las 5pm en la Misa de Vigilia. Tendremos una Santa Misa para Nuestra Señora de Lourdes con el Sacramento de la Santa Unción para todos los parroquianos entrados en edad, los que padecen de una enfermedad crónica, están sufriendo de depresión crónica, o van a tener una operación/cirugía pronto. Ungiremos a estos parroquianos en la Misa de las 5pm después de la homilía...renovation I formerly asked all parishioners to please respect the bathrooms and take care of them, placing trash in their respective bins and not stopping up the toilets with paper, and flushing the toilets after your use. I also asked all parents to mind their children going to the bathrooms. We have had consistent number of ongoing incidents of vandalism of bathrooms, specifically throwing wet paper towels on walls and ceiling. This occurred literally hours after the reopening of the bathrooms when they were newly renovated. It is very painful and sad when we have people who come into our Church and cannot respect it and choose to vandalize it. I beseech you in the name of God to please speak to your children and make sure they are respecting the Church we call our spiritual home. Sincerely in Jesus Christ, Fr. If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before they can have their children baptized. 3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation). 4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate from the Church where they were married. 5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to come. 6. To have your child baptized, contact Joan at to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class. 7. 7 Our Montgomery Perpetual Adoration Chapel is in great need of late night adorers. We need five generous souls to commit to an hour at the chapel with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus would arise in the middle of the night to pray to His Father. Let us imitate Our Lord!
