Carmel and looking for volunteers who are willing to help out with the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store located in Berlin. Whenever you give of yourself, you become a part of this mission to serve those less fortunate. The St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store located at 157 West White Horse Pike in Berlin, NJ serves two purposes: It not only is a source of support to the society's mission, but it also provides quality clothing and other goods to the community at more reasonable prices. We need volunteers to help out in the store during day-time hours. The enrollment is for deceased family, friends and loved ones and lasts for a period of three years (which equals 36 Masses.) At the end of three years, the decedent can be re-enrolled. The Purgatorial Society leatherette folders and pictures are shown above. Purgatorial Society enrollment forms are available at the Rectory Office.

2 Prayer Chain for Special Intentions & Intercessory Prayer Mater Ecclesiae parishioners who have a need for intercessory prayers or who wish to commit to participate in our newly formed Prayer Chain should contact Lou DiLoreto at or sifulou@comcast.net. Dress Code We want to foster the greatest reverence and respect for Our Lord at Mater Ecclesiae. Our attire is an outward expression of our love for the Lord and shows how important He is to us. It is also a sign of our respect for the House of God. Therefore, one should always wear their Sunday Best to Mass: modesty, good taste and common sense should prevail. Accordingly, the following rules apply: NO SHORTS, EVER, FOR MEN, WOMEN OR CHILDREN. Women: No revealing clothing, low necklines, short skirts or bare midriffs. Please dress modestly with dignity and self-respect. We suggest that women wear a head covering. Men: No tattered, soiled work clothes, old jeans or gym clothes. Please wear business or business casual attire to set a good example for our young men and boys. 3 Bulletin Deadlines Please be sure to send your Bulletin Announcements to the Rectory Office two weeks before the Bulletin is to be published. Submissions must be in writing and can be submitted on the Bulletin Announcement form or through Thank you! July Calendar deadline is June 15! If your group or parish organization would like to include activities on the Parish Calendar that we publish each month, please be sure to submit your announcement by the 15 th of the month prior to the date of the activity. The calendar is distributed in the Parish Bulletin on the last Sunday of each month. The next deadline is June 15 th for the June Calendar. Calendar Updates can be submitted by to or on the Calendar Form located at the Forms Center. Our parish goal for the 2008 House of Charity at Mater Ecclesiae is $37, We invite all parishioners to participate in this important effort. We have reached over 75% of our goal so far; our pledges total $30, That is $6, away from our goal. Please make your sacrificial gift to help continue the mission of the Church here in the Diocese of Camden! Father s Day Spiritual Bouquet Mass Cards Give a beautiful gift for Father s Day! If you would like to include your father, grandfather, husband, uncle, brother, or loved one in our Father s Day Mass Intentions, Father s Day Spiritual Bouquet Mass Cards will be available after all Masses this weekend in the Narthex. The Mass Intentions will be placed before the statue of Saint Joseph on the Altar for Father s Day and remain through the end of June.

We are asking for donations of the following items to sell at our Food Court at the Flea Market on June pack of cans of Coke or Pepsi, diet or regular 16oz or 20oz bottles of water (for individual sale) Baked Goods: Cookies or brownies If you can, please bake brownies or cookies and drop them off at Bishop DiMarzio Hall on Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. Thank You in advance for your generosity.! St. Martha s Attic Donations Empty that over-crowded attic or basement! It is not too late to donate your gently used items to St. Martha s attic to sell at our Flea Market. We will be accepting donations in the vestibule of Bishop DiMarzio Hall each day this week after the 8:00 AM Mass until 4 PM. Call for Wednesday drop-off time. Spaces still Available! 5 Volunteers Needed for Flea Market! If you have a few hours to spare in your otherwise busy life, we invite you to come out on Saturday and help out our Flea Market Committee.
