(Acts 2, 2-4) Give a spiritual gift for Father s Day, or a loving memorial remembrance. If you would like to include your father, grandfather, husband, uncle, brother, or loved one in our Father s Day Mass Intentions, Father s Day Spiritual Bouquet Mass Cards are now available after all Masses beginning this weekend in the Narthex. The Mass Intentions will be placed before the statue of Saint Joseph on the Altar for Father s Day and remain there through the end of June.

Attention Parents of Confirmation 2010 Students All Students in Grade 8 (and older who have not been Confirmed) must sign up for the Confirmation Class next year. Please stop by the CCD Registration Table or Jill Rooney at memare261@comcast.net. We must know how many students will be in the class to order materials and books. Beginning next year, we will continue to Confirm eighth grade students every year, as long as the numbers warrant it. 3 Our Lady of Mount Carmel Annual Golf Outing Thursday, June 4, 2009 Buena Vista Country Club Route 40 & Country Club Lane, Buena, NJ Proceeds benefit Mt. Carmel Parish & School Interested Golfers, flyers with additional information available in Narthex CORPUS CHRISTI is one of the most beautiful liturgical days of the year. It was instituted to honor Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament in a festive way that is not possible on Holy Thursday. Please make every effort and sacrifice to attend the Corpus Christi Procession and Choral Mass on Thursday, June 11 at 7:30 PM. Ember Days Ember Days are on the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday following the First Sunday in Lent and Pentecost Sunday, during the third full week of September, and after the Third Sunday of Advent. They are days of fasting for the special sanctification of the four seasons and for obtaining God s blessing on the clergy, for whose ordination the Ember Saturdays are specially set apart. The propers of the Masses reflect the Season in which they occur and include additional Lessons said before the Gospel. The Sacred Music for Pentecost Sunday has been donated by Mrs. Carmella Croce and will be sung for the intentions of the Croce Family. We invite everyone to attend Mass on the Feast of Pentecost Sunday wearing the color red to honor the Holy Spirit. Stop by the Padre Pio Book store after Mass on Sundays for some great summer reading. Browse through the shelves of the largest selection of Catholic Books in Southern New Jersey. Purgatorial Society Masses Purgatorial Society Masses at Mater Ecclesiae are celebrated one Wednesday evening each month at 7:30 PM (in perpetuity.) The enrollment is for deceased family, friends and loved ones and lasts for a period of three years (which equals 36 Masses.) At the end of three years, the decedent can be re-enrolled. The Purgatorial Society leatherette folders and pictures are shown above. Purgatorial Society enrollment forms are available at the Rectory Office.

Nursing Home Mass Mater Ecclesiae Council #12833 meetings are held on the 2 nd & 4 th Mondays of the month at 8:00 PM in the Knights Room. The Scriptural Rosary and Prayer for Vocations are said at 7:30 PM in the Church. New members are welcome. The Mater Ecclesiae Drama Club will present the play LITTLE WOMEN on Sunday, July 12 th, in Bishop DiMarzio Hall at 1:30 P.M. Dress Code We want to foster the greatest reverence and respect for Our Lord at Mater Ecclesiae. Our attire is an outward expression of our love for the Lord and shows how important He is to us. It is also a sign of our respect for the House of God. Therefore, one should always wear their Sunday Best to Mass: modesty, good taste and common sense should prevail. Accordingly, the following rules apply: NO SHORTS, EVER, FOR MEN, WOMEN OR CHILDREN. Women: No revealing clothing, low necklines, short skirts or bare midriffs. Please dress modestly with dignity and self-respect. We suggest that women wear a head covering. Men: No tattered, soiled work clothes, old jeans or gym clothes. Please wear business or business casual attire to set a good example for our young men and boys.
