Novena booklets are available in the Padre Pio Gift Shop. If you are unable to attend each day, please join with us spiritually by saying the Novena at home. The Novena will conclude on December 8, The Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

2 Tuesday Night Confessions The Sacrament of Penance is available every Tuesday evening from 8 PM to 9 PM. This extra hour each week is provided for the convenience of many and is in addition to the availability of Confessions before every Mass. Since the church will now be open on Tuesday nights from 8 to 9 PM you may wish to stop in for a brief visit to Our Lord in the tabernacle, pray a rosary, or even make a personal Holy Hour, even if you are not going to Confession. Sunday Collections Thank you for your generosity. Mater Ecclesiae Giving Tree CCD Classes of each month. CCD Classes meet on the second and third Sundays of each month, September to May at 9:45 AM 10:45 AM. Grades K-4 meet on the second Sunday and Grades 5-12 meet on the third Sunday CCD FUNDRAISER Thank You for Your Continued Support! Don t throw away those empty printer cartridges and old cell phones! Help us get cash for your trash! Drop off your empty inkjet & laser cartridges, used cell phones, and PDA s in the Cartridges for Kids Collection Basket in the St. Martha Room. Tell your family, friends, and Businesses. All proceeds benefit the CCD Program. This is a great fundraiser for CCD because it requires ZERO investment and is a total profit for Mater Ecclesiae. ***Look for our wicker basket in the St. Martha Room!*** Caal llinngg Alll SSi innggeerrss The Choir which sings at the 8:30 AM Low Mass is in need of new members. Please consider sharing your love of singing. The practice is held every Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM and Sundays a half an hour before the Low Mass. The repertoire includes English and Latin hymns in four parts. He who sings prays twice! This year instead of a Mitten Tree we will have a Giving Tree for food donations. We have been giving bags of food to two families in need each week and our pantry is now empty. We ask that each CCD student, if possible, bring a can or box of nonperishable food to place under the tree on their CCD Sunday. We are also asking all of our parishioners to please consider donating a can or box of non-perishable food. Place donations beneath the giving tree in Bishop Di Marzio Hall. Thank you. Convert /Revert Classes The classes are held weekly on Monday nights at 7:00 PM and are taught by Father Pasley.

Prayer Chain for Special Intentions & Intercessory Prayer Mater Ecclesiae parishioners who have a need for intercessory prayers or who wish to commit to participate in our newly formed Prayer Chain should contact Lou DiLoreto at or sifulou@comcast.net. Nursing Home Mass On the Second Friday of each month at 11:00 AM volunteers pray the Rosary and attend Mass said by Fr. Pasley at the Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at Virtua in Berlin. The next Nursing Home Mass will be December 10. Scriptural Rosary The Mater Ecclesiae Knights of Columbus Scriptural Rosary is now available on the Knights' website. You can download the PDF file from the homepage or the "Prayers" page. You can go directly to or follow the link from the Mater Ecclesiae website. Knights of Columbus Food Panty A continuing Food Collection program to aid those among us experiencing food insecurity continues at Mater Ecclesiae. There is a wicker basket in the Saint Martha s Room. Please place whatever items of non-perishable food you can into that basket as often as you can. They will be distributed to those in need.

December 12 Gaudete Sunday Mater Ecclesiae s Victorian Christmas Concert and Festival If you would like to join the Mater Ecclesiae Choir, rehearsal takes place every Tuesday night. 6 CALLING ALL ACTORS!!! Auditions for the February 12th Dinner Theater production will be held on Monday evening, December 12th in the Saint Martha room beginning at 6 PM. There are two male roles (approx years old) and six female roles (approx years old). These are the character ages only! Your help in the following areas would be greatly appreciated: Donating Refreshments for the concert: finger foods, hors d oeuvres (nothing to be heated, please!!!) December CAP Sessions Announced: We can be sure that we love God s children when we love God and do what He has commanded. 1 John 5:2 The Office of Safe Environment for Children, Youth and Adults is announcing CAP (Child Assault Prevention) sessions. CAP is the safe environment training program for adults who have regular contact with minors. Attendance is required in order to comply with the USCCB s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The policy of the diocese is that adults will attend CAP once every five years. CAP 1 teaches attendees to recognize child abuse and neglect and how to report to the proper authorities. Adults are taught that children have the right to be safe, strong and free. CAP 1 is for new volunteers and employees. CAP 2 is No More Bullies, No More Victims and is a workshop on bullying awareness and bullying prevention. Cyberbullying is also addressed. Both sessions are 90 minutes. Adults must attend CAP 1 before attending CAP 2. After five years, adults have the option of attending CAP 1 again if they prefer.
