We pr for earnest discussions and attepts at peace. And we pr for those who served our country and now need to experience peace in their own lives. All good things lie in wait for us who know "the only true God" and his Son, Jesus Christ. When we gather together in our counities of faith, it's easy to reeber all of this.

Jesus conquered death through his resurrection and proises all believers a share in this iraculous triuph. The gates of heaven have been opened for us by the great sacri"ice of our Savior. All good things lie in wait for us who know "the only true God" and his Son, Jesus Christ. When we gather together in our counities of faith, it's easy to reeber all of this. We share coon beliefs and practices with those friends, faily ebers, and neighbors who attend our church. But carrying the joy of Easter with us out into the "world" can be ore of a challenge. Once we step outside the safe con"ines of our parish or hoe, we encounter those who do not know the true God. We work with, study with, encounter, or gather with any people who have forgotten, abandoned, or never even known Jesus. Soeties this can ake us hesitant to share our joy, or even apologetic for our beliefs. But of course we are called to be witnesses of what we believe, not cowards who hide it fro public view. So let us take courage fro tod's Gospel. Jesus hiself offered prers on behalf of his followers. "I pr for the. I do not pr for the world, but for the ones you have given e." As the followers of Christ, we have the bene"it of his own desire to help us, to strengthen us even aidst the challenges that we face. He knows that we "are in the world" even though he is not here in the sae w.
